Back at Hogwarts, life returned to its usual chaotic pace, but Aurora couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. Regulus's words haunted her, and she found herself constantly looking over her shoulder, half-expecting something terrible to happen.

The Marauders noticed her distraction, especially James, who became increasingly concerned.

"You've been off lately," James said one afternoon as they walked around the grounds. "Is everything okay?"

Aurora forced a smile. "I'm fine, James. Just... tired, I guess."

James frowned, not entirely convinced. "If something's bothering you, you can tell me, you know."

Aurora hesitated, tempted to confide in her brother, but something held her back. She didn't want to drag him into whatever Regulus was involved in—not without knowing more.

"I know," she said softly. "But really, I'm fine."

James didn't press further, but Aurora could tell he wasn't convinced.

That evening, as the Gryffindors prepared for the big Quidditch match against Slytherin, Aurora felt the tension in the air. The rivalry between the two houses was always intense, but this time, it felt different—more personal.

As they took to the field, the crowd roared with excitement. The Slytherins were ruthless, and the match quickly turned brutal. Bludgers were aimed with malicious intent, and it wasn't long before players on both sides were battered and bruised.

Aurora dodged a Bludger sent her way, only to catch sight of Regulus speeding toward her on his broom. For a moment, their eyes met, and she saw something in his gaze—an unspoken warning. She was so distracted that she barely avoided another Bludger aimed directly at her head.

"Watch it, Aurora!" James shouted, swooping down to block her.

Regaining her focus, Aurora pushed herself harder, determined not to let the Slytherins get the better of her. But as the game wore on, she couldn't shake the feeling that Regulus was trying to protect her—even in the middle of a Quidditch match.

In the end, Gryffindor won, but the victory felt hollow. As they celebrated in the common room, Aurora's mind was elsewhere, replaying the game in her head and wondering what Regulus had been trying to tell her.
