You're Telling Me a Shrimp Fried This Rice?

As the days passed, Goob continued to try and start up conversations with Shrimpo. Much to his increasing annoyance...

Late at night, Goob awoke with a start. Not only was he incapable of going back to sleep, but he smelt something amazing. Curiousity filled him, he stood up and made his way to the the "kitchen" (pretend it's an actual kitchen for my sake), the pitter-patter of his fabric on the floor near silent.

The lights of the kitchen were on, dim, but on. The sound of something sizzling on a pan was deafeningly obvious. Goob just couldn't see who it was that was cooking... he took a few steps closer until the light illuminated them.
"Shrimpo? What're you doing up?" The shrimp flinched, his head snapping towards the cause of the sound. His eyebrows immediately furrowed.

"WHAT DO YOU- ahem– What do you want?!" He whisper-yelled at Goob, holding himself back from blowing up as to not wake up the others. He stood in front of the stove, seemingly hiding whatever it was he was making, was he embarrassed?

"I wanted a snack," Goob pushed Shrimpo out of the way, getting his face up close to the pan. "Whatcha making?"

"NUNYA!" Shrimpo grabbed the other toon's floppy arm, pulling him away from the heat. "And don't just get close to the damn pan like that, dumbass! Are you TRYING to get yourself burnt?!"

Surprised by Shrimpo's caution, Goob snickered.
"Is this why you never eat with us? Because you're too busy cooking for yourself?" The shrimp huffed in response.

"Obviously. The others can't cook for SHIT!" He crossed his arms with increasing sass, it reminded Goob of Glisten, just... less flamboyant. "Now leave me alone!"

Goob wasn't gonna do that. He hovered around Shrimpo like a fly until he finished cooking.

"What'd ya make? It looks real good!" Goob asked Shrimpo the same question again, dissatisfied with the other's lack of a reply previously.

"Like I said, nunya!"
...
"Stir-fry." Shrimpo scowled, for some odd reason he just couldn't seem to keep anything from Goob.

"Can I have some? Can I, can I?" Goob was practically bouncing with excitement, his eyes sparkling in the dim light... could anybody say no to that face?

"I'll let you try a LITTLE... only a LITTLE BIT!" Retrieving a bowl from one of the shelves, Shrimpo gave himself a heavy helping of the food he made, leaving only a small amount for Goob... it wasn't exactly out of character for him to be selfish in such a way, it still sucked, though.
Shrimpo sat down at one of the plastic kiddie tables in the area beside the kitchen, Goob followed shortly after, sitting too close to Shrimpo for comfort.

"Jeez... have you ever heard of personal space? Back up!"

"Oopsie, sorry!" Goob scooted over by like- a centimeter. Shrimpo began to eat, he couldn't help but look to the plush beside him, waiting for him to take a bite. The anticipation was killing him, as Goob was too busy blowing on the food as if it were on fire. Shrimpo couldn't say anything about it though, or else Goob would know he was actually INTERESTED in his opinion on his cooking!
Goob couldn't exactly use any utensils with ease, he frequently decided eating from plates and bowls like a dog sufficed. Goob shoved his face into the bowl and took a generous bite, immediately trilling with excitement.

"This is so, so, SO GOOD!" The plush kicked his legs with joy, giving Shrimpo his compliments with his mouth still full. The shrimp grimaced, but was flattered nonetheless... I mean... he was DISGUSTED with how Goob smiled and spoke with his mouth full, that's BAD MANNERS! (as if Shrimpo cared about manners)

Shrimpo continuously stole glances at the plush, the varied happy expressions on the other's face really gave a boost to Shrimpo's ego. Before he knew it, Goob has licked the bowl clean.

"Thank yew!" Goob grinned from... ear to ear?
The plush took his bowl and dropped it into a sink without a second thought, he waved goodnight to the shrimp before running back to his room.

"... Stupid." Shrimpo mumbled, getting the last word in. His pink cheeks barely visible in the dim light.
