"I didn't expect to spend a whole month deciphering these scrolls;" I sighed tiredly, walking
through one of the halls of the Ninjago History Museum, carrying a couple of scrolls.
"What did you expect?" Misako asked curiously, walking alongside.
- Wel.. I thought that we would travel around excavations, solve strange events in
abandoned historical buildings and caves, travel all over Ninjago, studying all its secrets
and mysteries! -I exclaimed with enthusiasm and a hint of mystery. - In extreme cases, we
will conduct excursions around the museum... But we certainly won't sit with a pile of
scrolls in the dim light of a lamp, deciphering them from morning to night until we turn
blue! -I exclaimed again, but with notes of irritation and indignation.
- In order to begin the journey in search and solving mysteries, you need to find these
mysteries and riddles. And to find them, you need to decipher old scrolls and prophecies, -
the mentor laughed at my zeal.
My enthusiasm instantly evaporated, and universal boredom and discontent settled on my
face.
"It's very important" Misako encouraged me. "Our profession requires a lot of work-
painstaking work. You have to be very attentive and diligent, otherwise you might miss
something very important."
- But then why didn't you tell me what these scrolls were about? -I was slightly indignant,
looking at the woman. - You deciphered them a long time ago! You knew what they were
about!
- Darling, you need to learn to be independent. - Misako calmed me down with her kind
voice and warm smile and made me smile back slightly. - just decided to help you a little,
gave you motivation and a slight push. I wanted to check what you are capable of. And you
lived up to all my expectations! You are a very smart and goal-oriented girl, and most
importantly, you love what you do, and that is no less important.
The praise and trust of an experienced archaeologist meant a lot to me. It boosted my
confidence, raised my self-esteem, as if the First Spinjitzu Master himself had appointed
me as his protector and granted me the power of the elements.
Misako and I left the hall. There was a rustling sound behind us, and l immediately turned
around to see its source. Behind me, I saw an old man in a straw hat, with a long white
beard. He was dressed in a kimono, which is usually worn by sensei and Spinjitzu masters.
This old man did not pay attention to me, instead, he looked at Misako with surprise, as if
he knew her. The woman turned around after me and smiled at the man.
"Misako?" the old man asked hesitantly.
He reminded me of someone. But who exactly? I know many people, I can't remember
them all now.
"Wu' Misako smiled warmly at him.
The old man was confused and couldn't even put a couple of words together.
"Long time no see," Misako interrupted his efforts with the same smile.
And then it dawned on me. This was that same Sensei Wu, the second son of the First
Spinjitzu Master! Misako often told me about him and showed me photos from her youth. I
always dreamed of meeting him.
Ahead of us, there was a cough, usually used to attract attention. We turned around and
saw four ninja walking towards us, removing the hoods of their kimonos.
“Maybe you could introduce us?" asked the brown-haired man in the blue kimono.
He was familiar to me, but not like Wu. I had seen the old man in photographs and only
knew him as a young man, but this guy's silhouette was clearly imprinted in my memory,
but l just can't figure it out... Who is he?
Sensei cleared his throat and came closer to Misako. I turned my puzzled gaze from the
blue-eyed brown-haired man to the gray-haired old man.
"Yes... This is... Uh.. Misako, Lloyd's mother" he answered the students.
The ninja gasped in surprise and stepped aside, allowing us to see the fifth ninja who had
just approached. Hearing the words of the sensei, the green ninja froze, looking at Misako
in surprise.
"My mother?" he asked again, as if he didn't believe it.
"Ah, Lloyd. It's you, baby," Misako smiled happily, approaching her son. "You're much more
mature than I thought."
"Yes, we haven't seen each other for a long time," the blond snapped, stepping aside, not
allowing his mother to touch him.
"I didn't want us to meet like this. I had my reasons for leaving." Misako said, dejected.
"'m not interested!" Lloyd got angry and headed back the way he came.
- Lloyd, wait! Please! - the woman tried to stop him, but he had already disappeared,
slamming the door loudly.
Misako hung her head sadly, clearly feeling terribly guilty. I walked up to her and put my
hand on her shoulde, smiling encouragingly.
- Misako, don't blame yourself. - She looked at me. - He just doesn't know the whole story.
Believe me, when you tell him everything and explain it to him, he will understand you
and, for sure, forgive you.
She gave me a weak smile and placed her hand on top of mine, as if thanking me for my
support.
- Milya..? - I heard a quiet surprised voice from the side.
Frowning in confusion, I turned around and noticed the surprised, but gentle and warm
gaze of the blue ninja. Everyone was looking at him strangely, but he didn't pay attention.
It's strange... How does he know? Only my parents and... call me that.
"J-JI" I exclaimed joyfully and was about to pounce on my brother with hugs, butI stopped
myself in time, frowned, and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Why didn't you come over with your parents?" Jay asked, rushing towards me with a hug.
"The same question" I answered with a displeased chuckle and walked away from him.
"Why didn't you come to visit us with your parents? Mm?"
"I was home, but you weren't there" Jay scratched his head, puzzled. "Where were you?|
was afraid you'd been kidnapped by the Serpentine, or worse, the Devourer... Um... Uh...
Devoured? Heh, yeah. Devoured. So where were you?"
"Oh... I haven't lived with my parents for a long time," l answered, exhaling deeply.
-But why? Where do you live now? With whom? How did your parents even let you go!?
Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you call me!? So much has happened to me during this
time! I wanted to tell you everything so much! Oh, why did you dye your hair? Although, it
even suits you! Now you definitely look like me! And curls... And where are the freckles!?
Are you hiding them again? Although... You're a beauty! But why didn't you tell me
anything!?– Jay chattered with worry, admiration, indignation and discontent, loudly
exclaiming.
I always thought that only he could unite such, at a glance, contradictory feelings. My
brother is too emotional. To some extent, this is even good, but still, someday it can have a
bad effect on him.
"You yourself weren't particularly interested in my life after you left home" I said calmly,
shrugging my shoulders. "A lot has happened to me during this time, too."
Jay fell silent and smiled guiltily. I sighed heavily, shaking my head. Misako stood next to
me and squeezed my hand, as if supporting me and saying that everything was fine, that
she understood me. The others were puzzled by what was happening, did not understand
who I was and how their friend knew me. "Jay, who is this?" the brunette in the black ninja kimono was the first to dare ask.
"This is... Melania, my sister," Jay answered.
-YOUR SISTER!? - the three guys shouted in shock in one voice.
- But... why didn't you tell us about her? - asked the brown-haired man in a red kimono
with an unusual, but very beautiful hairstyle.
-Oh, you didn't even mention my existence to your new friends? - and now I feel terribly
offended and monstrously unpleasant.
Jay left home, didn't explain anything to me, didn't call or write for several months, and
now he's standing there and is indignant that I forgot about him, although he himself
seemed to have erased me from his new life.
"Milya, I... I just couldn't... I mean, I..." Jay stuttered, trying to justify himself.
"No need," I interrupted his attempts. "We need to find Lloyd now. A sad child can do a lot
of things," I said and headed after the green ninja.
- Milya, wait! Let me explain everything! - my brother shouted to me, running after me.
- Let's do it later? We need to find your friend, -I agreed, exhaling, and then turned to the
mentor. - Misako, let's go, you have to explain everything to him.
"Let's go, my dear" she smiled softly at me and walked ahead.
The ninjas hurried after us. The search didn't last as long as I would have expected. We
spotted Lloyd in the next room. He was sitting behind the fence at the very edge of the well
where Misako and I had found the stone warrior. Misako went to her son, I remained
standing in the doorway, and the ninjas didn't notice us stopping and passed by.
"Be careful, this well is truly bottomless, son," my mentor said to her son. "I found a stone
warrior in it. Well, not without Melania's help, of course." She looked at me and received a
gentle, supportive smile in return.
- Huh? Son? - Lloyd frowned angrily. - You were never there! You have nothing to say to me.
- He hung his head sadly.
"But l'll try anyway," Misako said softly. "Do you want to know what I've been doing all this
time?" She began to walk around the well's fence. "Long before Wu knew who the green
ninja would be, I knew it was you. And I knew you would have to fight your father. I sent
you to the dark school to learn more about this prophecy, in the hopes of one day
preventing the battle between good and evil. All this time, I've been trying to save you and
your father:."
The ninjas, led by Sensei, entered the hall, and together we headed closer to Misako and
Lloyd.
"Long ago, when time had no name, the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago" the woman
began, standing on the opposite side of the pit from us, next to the historical canvases.
"Yes, yes, we've heard this story a hundred times," Lloyd, still irritated, interrupted her.
- Calm down, Lloyd. It's not polite. She is your mother after all. You need to listen to her, -I
whispered to him in a soothing tone, so as not to disturb the teacher, putting my hand on
his shoulder.
The guy looked at me sullenly, but calmed down and turned away, remaining silent.
"But you only heard half of it," Misako countered. "Melania, baby, come here."
I obeyed and slowly and carefully walked towards her, trying not to trip or jump over the
fence straight into the well.
"Have you deciphered the scrolls completely?" she asked, putting one arm around my
shoulders.
I just nodded, already understanding what she was getting at.
"Then show us your knowledge"' she asked, smiling tenderly.
I was delighted and, putting the scrolls in my bag, stood in front of the canvases. Jay
opened his mouth and looked at me dumbfounded. It was surprising that he didn't start
shouting and complaining, disturbing me. I giggled quietly and took a deep breath,
preparing myself for the upcoming story.
- In Ninjago, good and evil have always been in balance. I hope you know how the First
Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago, and I won't have to explain it to you again?-Ireceived
an affirmative nod from Sensei and smiled. - Well, that's great. Ahem-ahem-ahem... But
what if I told you that for there to be light, there must always be shadow? And in the
shadows there must always be darkness. There will always be darkness the black
darkness that existed before the beginning of everything that exists now, before the
beginning of beginnings. The evil spirit, which is called... Hm... t's called.. Mmm... What's it
called? -Itried to remember these strange hieroglyphs, and then looked at Misako,
seeking help. - Ugh, the name of this spirit was the most difficult symbol of all. I was never
able to decipher it exactly.
"Overlord," Misako smiled, helping me.
"That's his name?" l asked, raising my eyebrows in surprise, but then smiled gratefully.
"Thank you."
"Did you know about this, sensei?" a platinum blond man in a white ninja kimono asked
sensei.
"I hoped that by keeping this secret I could consign this name to oblivion," he replied.
"Go on, Melania," Misako smiled at me.
I sighed meekly, nodded, and looked at the canvases again.
-Their battle could have gone on forever.. Each side was strong, and neither could gain
the upper hand, but... One day, the Overlord managed to create invincible warriors -a
stone army. The First Spinjitzu Master did everything he could, but he knew that he would
be defeated. And so as not to lose the war, he divided Ninjago into two parts. To our great
happiness, no one ever sawa trace of the Overlord or his stone army again... But that was
until our latest discovery.
- That's right, - Misako smiled at me. - You're a smart girl.
- So that's why this battle is inevitable... It's not over! - it dawned on the red ninja.
I smiled weakly and nodded.
"But where is this dark island?" the black ninja asked in surprise. "I've never heard of it."
"I think he disappeared," Misako replied.
"But the legends say that as long as the balance between good and evil is maintained, the
Overlord will remain banished from our world," I countered. "That doesn't mean he's gone
for good."
"You're right again," Misako nodded and turned to her son. "I've always been afraid that
your father's ambition would upset this balance. We must stop him."
"Each of us felt the power of the First Spinjitzu Master, passed on to us in the form of
elemental weapons" Wu said. "But now that power has been inherited by the green ninja,
only Lloyd can defeat evil, or Ninjago will fall victim to the endless darkness.!"
"Leaving you was the hardest decision of my life," Misako told her son. "But you and the
whole world were in danger. I had no choice."
Lloyd looked sadly at his mother and nodded weakly. Silence. No one says anything, no
one knows what to say. I look at my brother and see his eyes full of interest. It was as if he
was bursting with curiosity.
"You can ask" I gave him the go-ahead.
- SO YOU WORK AT THE NINJAGO HISTORY MUSEUM!? - He seemed to burst out.
Everyone looked at him sullenly. The black ninja slapped him on the back of the head,
telling him not to yell, because the Stone Warrior exhibition was opening in the next room.
Lloyd looked from Jay to me and back, uncomprehending.
"Yes" I answered with a slight smile. "A part-time archaeologist. Under the watchful eye
and excellent guidance of Misako."
- But how? Where are you? - Jay was confused.
"She lives with me," Misako smiled, putting her arm around my shoulder. "Your sister isa
very talented girl, and I am infinitely glad that I finally have such a capable assistant."
"So you're his sister?" Lloyd turned to me, slightly surprised.
But in his gaze I saw something else besides surprise at this news. Could it be... He was
envious and jealous of his mother towards me? But it is understandable...
- Yes, I'm this idiot's sister. Melania Walker. For friends and acquaintances, just Mi, -I smiled
amiably.
"And I'm Lloyd," the blond also smiled at me and turned to Jay: "But why didn't you tell us
about your sister?"
"| somehow didn't think about it..." he scratched the back of his head.
"He was afraid thatI would kill him for reporting false information about me," I grinned,
slyly, and crossed my arms over my chest, looking at my brother.
He just laughed awkwardly and stepped back a little, not fully understanding the meaning
of my words.
- Didn't he bother you? He chatters non-stop, just like his parents. - I turned to the ninja,
and then to the sensei. - Didn't he spoil anything? Did he listen to you? Didn't he contradict
you? If not, just tell me -"ll teach him a lesson.
"He wasn't too bad overall," the black ninja answered, laughing and grinning. "I'm Cole.
And this is Zane and Kai," he pointed to the white and red ninja in turn, and then to Wu.
"And this is our sensei, Wu."
"Hah, I'm glad to finally meet those who freed me from the main cause of my headache" |
joked again.
Everyone started laughing, and Jay frowned in displeasure, crossing his arms over his
chest.
- Hey! Yes, I am terribly guilty before you and I must apologize... BUT DON'T MOCK ME
ABOUT THIS NOW! - he was indignant, too loudly.
"Why not?" I laughed.
- So... Did you find out how l can avoid a duel with my father? - Lloyd turned to his mother,
returning us to the previous topic.
"I'm sorry, not yet. But I still believe there is hope," Misako smiled encouragingly.
Screams and a crash were heard from the next room. The door flew apart, and in the
passage appeared the four-armed stone warrior we had found with Misako, but now he
was alive. He said something strange and incomprehensible in his language, pointing his
weapons at us - huge katanas.
"Oh, excuse me, but can someone tell me what this monster is!?" Jay screamed in fear.
Lloyd climbed over the fence and found himself next to the ninja, Misako and I hurried
towards them.
"A stone warrior" Misako answered with horror, placing her hand on her son's shoulder.
"The Devourer's venom awakened him" Zane realized.
-There you go. Kai, deal with him! -Cole commanded the red ninja.
- And... Me? - the brown-haired man said uncertainly.
The stone warrior said something again.
- Okay, boulder. Take that! - Kai frowned, putting on his mask and taking out his sword.
He ran at the warrior and swung his sword in mid-air. But the warrior parried Kai's attack
with his katana. The guy landed on his back on the floor and quickly sat up, and his sword
broke into pieces.
"Oh, I must admit, I imagined that everything would be completely different," Kai said
before the stone warrior grabbed him by the leg and lifted him upside down.
"The Overlord created his warriors from an indestructible stone that only exists on the dark
island" I informed everyone.
- Brilliant! You couldn't have warned me earlier? - Kai was indignant, and the warrior threw
him behind his back.
From the next room came the sound of a broken vase and the painful groan of the red
ninja.
"Lloyd, use your power!" Wu commanded.
The green ninja concentrated and created a sphere of green energy, after which he sent a
powerful bright green beam straight at the enemy, causing a green fire to appear in place
of the stone warrior. Everyone began to rejoice, but I did not jump to conclusions and
peered through the flames.
"I don't want to upset you, but..." I began, as the fire began to part, showing us a still-living
stone warrior who was angrily saying something to us in his own language.
"Uh... Wait, but we can beat him, right?" Cole asked.
"Unfortunately, no," I answered nervously, like everyone else, backing away.
The stone warrior cut through the doorway and walked towards us. Cole, Zane and Jay
immediately attacked him. The warrior quickly threw the first two aside. Jay landed at his
feet.
"JAY!" I screamed in fear.
The warrior wanted to step on my brother, but he managed to jump back.
"Quiet, big guy, you could use a few pounds!" he quipped.
"Jay, stop making him angry! He already wants to kill us!" I said sternly.
"Don't worry, Milya, the ninja will figure everything out!" Jay assured confidently, looking
at me.
"HE'S INVINCIBLE!" I shouted irritably, trying to bring my little brother's stupid head to his
senseS.
As if to prove my point, the warrior threvw Jay toward the well. Jay rolled on his back to the
very edge and almost fell into the bottomless pit, but I managed to grab his leg and pull
him back. Then I helped him get back on his feet.
"Wow, just a little bit more," Jay laughed nervously. "Thanks, sis."
I scowled at him and chuckled as I walked away. Zane jumped on the warrior, kicking him
in the chest, but he didn't even flinch. He easily overpowered us and threw us out of the
room. I rolled down the wall and got up from the floor with a painful groan, holding my
bruised lower back, which had taken the brunt of the blow.
"He'll be more difficult to deal with than a bunch of soldiers," Cole noted, rising from the
floor.
"Stone warriors," I corrected him sullenly.
"It's good that we're already in the museum," Jay said, approaching the doorway of the
hall from which we had just been thrown.
"Why?" Misako asked.
"Because we're about to become history!" Jay shouted as the stone warrior advanced on
him.
- Jay, I'll beat you up someday for such stupid jokes! - I shouted angrily at my brother.
We started running away from the warrior, screaming, but he was clearly in good physical
shape.
"That guy's got some great shoes. Speed up! Faster! Faster!" Lloyd shouted, but he was
running behind everyone else.
"That joke was a complete failure!" I shouted, speeding up.
We ran out into the main hall and started climbing the stairs. The warrior didn't lag behind
and caught up with us.
"Well, well, he's fast for such a big guy!" Kai shouted.
We ran into the hall on the second floor and closed the doors right in front of the warrior.
He began to break through them, making a hole in one door.
"There's no stopping him!" Cole exclaimed.
"Not to destroy. That would be more accurate," Zane corrected him.
"This door won't last long," Kai noted.
"We'll settle this like men," Jay agreed. "Rock, paper, scissors. The loser gets to fight him so
the rest can go."
"This is stupid!" | tried to stop them, but no one listened to me.
The boys started to put out their hands. Lloyd wanted to join in, but Jay pushed his hand
away.
"No, without you, chosen one;" he said.
- On the count of three! One... Two... - Kai counted.
"Wait!" Lloyd stopped them. "Here it is."
- What "it"? - Wu didn't understand.
"If you can distract him, I'll try to stop him," the green ninja replied.
Misako and I looked at each other in surprise.
"What? Let the kid try" Cole agreed.
"You're only saying that because you're afraid to fight him!" Jay protested.
"Maybe you want to then?" I quipped.
Jay looked back at the door, which had already been cut through fairly well by the
warrior's katanas, but not enough for him to get through.
"Okay, let the kid try" Jay agreed.
I rolled my eyes. Lloyd looked back and noticed the air vent. He ran towards it, but I,
realizing his plan, stopped him by grabbing his shoulder. He turned around and looked at
me strangely.
"TUl help,"l explained.
- No! Mile, it's dangerous! - Jay immediately objected.
- Now is not the time for arguing! We simply do not have time. We are almost in a hopeless
situation, and if Lloyd gets lost on top of that, it will be much worse! -I firmly stated and
ran to the hatch.
Lloyd exchanged glances with his friends and, shrugging his shoulders, ran after me.
"You're responsible for her with your head!" Jay shouted after us as I opened the iron
ventilation hatch.
"l can take care of myself!" I shouted back and climbed into the passage.
"Be careful and good luck" Misako told us.
"Thanks, Mom," Lloyd smiled and climbed into the hatch.
"You'll need it too," I shouted back to the mentor and turned to my partner. “Follow me
and don't fall behind."'
"Okay" Lloyd agreed, moving behind me.
t*t
"l can't believe that's Lord Garmadon's son," Misako said as soon as Melania and Lloyd
disappeared into the vents.
"Don't forget, he's your son too," Wu reminded.
Misako turned to him and smiled.
-He was lucky with his teacher.
"Oh, no, with the teachers," Wu corrected her and stepped aside, pointing to the ninja
walking towards them.
- That's all great, but...Why did you let Milya go!? - Jay began to be indignant. - She's not a
ninja! Something could happen to her!
"But Lloyd is with her" Cole countered calmly.
"That doesn't change anything! He might not be able to keep an eye on her!" the sullen
lightning master insisted.
"Don't worry. Your sister is a strong girl, she can protect herself," Misako reassured him.
- My sister!? Are you sure we're talking about the same girl!? - Jay was indignant. - She
never had any self-defense skills! -
You haven't seen each other for a long time... She's grown up, - the woman smiled
condescendingly.
***
Icrawled through the vents and showed the way to the chosen ninja. Halfway there, I
stopped and turned to him.
- What's wrong? Did something happen? - He immediately bombarded me with questions.
"No, it's okay' I shook my head. "ljust want to remind you that you need to talk to your
mother. You need to listen to her, understand, and forgive her"
Lloyd opened his mouth to say something, but I didn't listen and crawled on. He exhaled
and crawled after me.
"Is it still far?" he asked after a couple of minutes.
"The last turn," I answered briefly, turning.
Having reached the necessary hatch, I knocked it down, opening a passage to the hall we
needed. I climbed out of the ventilation and helped Lloyd, taking his hands.
"How did you know what I wanted to do?" he asked, still holding my hands.
"To be a real professional archaeologist, you need to have good ingenuity and logic," I
answered, letting him go.
"I see" he smiled, then stepped aside and looked around. "Do you know where I can find
paper and paint?"
"I understand, wait a couple of minutes,"i replied and crawled through the ventilation to
the warehouse for the necessary material.
"time skip*
Lloyd and I painted the paper to match the tiles in the hall and carefully laid it out over the
bottomless pit. When we were done, I tripped and almost fell on the thin paper, which
would have immediately torn under my weight, causing me to fall into the pit. But that
didn't happen. Lloyd immediately grabbed my hand and pulled me to him.
"Be careful" he smiled, weakly hugging my shoulders.
"Okay... I got a little carried away" I smiled nervously, remembering the last words I said to
my brother. "Thank you."
Lloyd nodded to me and let me go. Now we stand and wait for someone to bring a warrior
here.
"Maybe l should run and get him myself?" I suggested after a couple of minutes.
Before LIloyd could respond, screams were heard from the corridor.
"Lloyd!" Misako screamed, looking for her son, running away from the warrior.
"Mom!" the guy called to her.
Misako noticed us and led the warrior in our direction.
- Lloyd! Melania! - she smiled happily and hid behind her son's back.
"Hey, big guy, paper is stronger than rock!" Lloyd shouted.
The stone warrior ran at us, swinging his katana. When he was close, Lloyd grabbed both of
us and jumped out of the way at the last moment. The warrior missed and spun around,
stopping. The paper tore beneath him, and he fell into the well with a scream.
"Of course... A bottomless pit," Misako understood the guy's plan, coming up to the very
edge with us.
The rest of the ninja and Wu ran into the hall. Misako hugged her son, and I went over to my
brother.
"Are you okay?" Jay asked me quietly.
"I'm so proud of you," Misako smiled at her son. "I feel like balance has brought us
together."
"Don't worry, I'm much stronger than you think" l answered quietly and smiled, hugging
my brother's hand.
Lloyd removed his mask and smiled at his mother.
"Stay, you will help us in our fight"' Wu said to Misako, approaching with the ninja.
I was walking next to my brother.
"If my son doesn't mind' Misako smiled in agreement.
"Hey, the more the merrier!" Lloyd replied with an approving smile and hugged her again.
"Master Wu, can I come with you?" Iasked with a sweet smile.
- No.!
"Of course" Wu agreed, cutting off Jay's objections. "I can see that you have great
potential," he said, poking his staff into my chest, looking me straight in the eyes with a
penetrating gaze.
- But sensei! - I smiled happily under my brother's loud cries, full of indignation. - We can't
take her!
"Why not?" the old man grinned.
"Well, she... She... She.." Jay hesitated.
"Who?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. "A girl, huh?" I suggested with a hint of
displeasure, hearing silence in response.
"Yes!" Jay blurted out without thinking. "I mean, no! You... You're just... You're my sister!"
So what? -I chuckled. - The fact that I'm someone's sister doesn't make me helpless!
"But you're not someone's sister, you're mine!" Jay said indignantly.
- All the more so! It means that I will be under double protection, under your watchful eye.
You are a ninja! - I smiled with slight sarcasm.
