The library was hushed, the only sounds being the occasional rustling of pages and the soft tapping of fingers on old, worn-out paper. The afternoon sunlight filtered through the high windows, casting golden beams across the dusty shelves and onto the large table where Anaya, Aarav, Karthik, Naina, Riya, and Ishaan sat. They were surrounded by stacks of ancient records, books, and yearbooks that chronicled the long and mysterious history of St. Xavier's. The goal was clear: uncover the truth about Aisha-the spirit haunting the old wing-and how she was connected to the ritual and the dangers surrounding it.
Anaya was focused, determined to push through the anxiety that had gripped her since her latest dream. The warning she had received still echoed in her mind: The ritual or the truth. It was Aisha's voice, she was sure of it. The spirit wasn't just trying to stop them; it was guiding them toward something they had missed. Anaya had felt the urgency in her dreams, and she knew that uncovering Aisha's story was the key to everything.
"So, we're certain it's Aisha?" Karthik asked, breaking the silence as he leaned back in his chair. His eyes were heavy with the exhaustion they all felt, but the sharpness in his tone betrayed his impatience. "She's the one who's been haunting the old wing all this time?"
"Yes," Anaya said firmly, glancing around the table. "I'm sure of it. The figure in my dream-it was her. I felt it. She's trapped there, and it's tied to the ritual somehow. But we still don't know why."
Aarav, who had been sifting through old yearbooks and school records, nodded thoughtfully. "If we can figure out what happened to her, we might understand why she's stuck and how the ritual is involved. There has to be something in these records-something that explains her death."
Naina was poring over an old leather-bound journal she had found in the archives. The journal was filled with the neat, handwritten notes of a former headmaster of St. Xavier's. She furrowed her brow as she scanned the pages. "This mentions a student named Aisha. The headmaster describes her as 'troubled' and 'obsessed' with the old wing. It seems she spent a lot of time there, even though it was supposed to be off-limits."
"That fits," Anaya said, leaning forward with interest. "We know she was involved in something dangerous, something that led to her being trapped. But we still don't know what exactly she was doing."
Naina continued reading, her voice filled with intrigue. "The headmaster seems to have been concerned about her. He mentions that she was fascinated by the occult-by rituals and ancient symbols. He wrote that she was constantly looking for something, as if she believed the old wing held some kind of secret."
