Flash-Back 2
The Kim mansion was filled with the sound of laughter, a melody that once seemed eternal. On that warm afternoon, Jungkook sat on the terrace, his long, graceful fingers flipping through a fashion magazine. His eyes sparkled, a reminder of the legendary model he once was, though now he had traded the runway for the role of a loving mother and husband.Varisha was beside him, her head resting on his shoulder as they shared a quiet moment. She loved these moments—just the two of them. For her, Jungkook wasn't just a world-renowned fashion icon. He was her whole world.
"Are you going to give me any spoilers for your next collection?" Varisha asked, teasing, her lips curling into a small smile.
Jungkook chuckled, his laughter was soft but full of warmth. "And ruin the surprise? Never." He closed the magazine and turned to look at her, a playful glint in his eyes. "But if you ask nicely, I might let you help me design a piece. You've got a good eye for detail."
Varisha smiled brightly, feeling that familiar swell of pride. She'd always admired her mother—not for his fame, but for the way he made everything seem possible. He never treated her like a child; instead, he trusted her and saw her as his equal in many ways.
"That's because I learned from the best," Varisha said, nudging him gently.
"Don't be modest," Jungkook replied, brushing a strand of hair out of her face. "You've always had your own spark. I saw it even when you were a little girl trying to fit into my runway heels."
Varisha laughed at the memory. "I remember thinking I could be just like you, walking down the runway like I owned the world."
"You always did, in your own way," Jungkook said softly, his eyes full of affection. "And you still can."
Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching. Taehyung, dressed in one of his tailored suits, stepped out onto the terrace. Despite the intimidating aura he projected to the outside world as a powerful CEO, at home he was someone else entirely—he was a Husband and a Dad.
"Dad!" Varisha called out excitedly, standing up to greet him. She threw her arms around Taehyung's waist, and he laughed, hugging her back tightly.
"Hey, sweetheart," Taehyung said, his voice rich with warmth. "What are you two conspiring about this time?"
"Fashion," Jungkook replied, smiling up at him. "What else?"
Taehyung shook his head, a soft smile tugging at his lips. "Of course. It's always fashion with you two. But that's fine, as long as I get to model a few pieces." He winked at Jungkook, earning an eye-roll.
Varisha watched her parents, the easy way they bantered and the love that was always just beneath the surface. They were her rock—together they made her feel like the world was a safe place, no matter what.
"You're such a show-off, Dad," Varisha teased, grinning as she pulled away from Taehyung's embrace to sit back down beside Jungkook.
"Me? A show-off?" Taehyung raised his hands in mock innocence. "I'm just here for the perks of being married to the most famous model in the world."
Jungkook shook his head, smiling softly. "You know you're more than that."
As the three of them sat together, the late afternoon sun casting a golden hue over the garden, Varisha felt something deep in her chest—a sense of belonging so profound that it made her heart ache in the best way possible.
"You two are the best," Varisha said suddenly, her voice quiet but full of sincerity.
Jungkook glanced at her, his gaze softening. "We try."
