Sok's heart pounded in her chest as she hurried down the street, chasing after Lei. They had only met twice, but now Lei had something over her—something dangerous. Sok knew that if Lei followed through on her threat, everything could come crashing down.
She caught up to Lei outside her apartment, breathless. "Lei, wait!" Sok called out.
Lei stopped, turning around slowly with an amused smirk. She crossed her arms, her "Lei ♡ Harry" headband still proudly in place. "Oh, look who's here. The girl who thought she could have a secret little affair with Simon."
Sok swallowed hard. "It wasn't like that," she stammered. "Please, just don't say anything. If you post that on Twitter—"
Lei raised an eyebrow, cutting Sok off. "And why shouldn't I? You and Simon, in his office... it's scandalous. People love drama. I could be doing the world a favor, exposing what's really going on behind closed doors."
"Lei, please," Sok pleaded. "I'll do anything."
Lei's smirk deepened, her gaze sliding over Sok like a cat watching a mouse. "Anything, huh?" she mused. "That's interesting. How about this: you spend the night with me... and Harry. Then maybe I'll reconsider."
Sok's stomach churned. "Lei, I—" Before she could finish, the door to Lei's apartment building opened, and Zayn stepped out. His expression darkened when he saw the two of them together, tension radiating off him.
"What's going on here?" Zayn's voice was sharp, his eyes narrowing in suspicion.
Lei didn't seem phased, her smirk remaining. "Oh, Sok was just agreeing to a little arrangement with me," she said casually. "Something that could save her reputation."
Zayn's face hardened as he looked at Sok, his disappointment clear. "Sok, you don't need to do this."

Sok shook her head, feeling a wave of shame and panic. "I wasn't agreeing to anything," she said quickly, her voice desperate. "She caught me with Simon, and now she's threatening to spread it."
Zayn's jaw clenched, his fists tightening. "Lei, you're really going to blackmail her over that? How low can you get?"
Lei rolled her eyes. "Jealous much, Zayn? I thought you were over this whole Sok thing. Besides, it's not blackmail—it's just... persuasion."
Zayn stepped closer, his protective instincts kicking in. "You're not going to ruin her life over this. If you so much as tweet a word about Sok, I'll make sure Harry and the whole band know exactly what kind of person you are."
Lei's playful expression dropped, replaced with irritation. "Harry's not going to care about your little threats, Zayn."
Zayn took Sok's hand, pulling her away from Lei's grip. "You don't have to do anything she says. You're better than this, Sok."
Sok nodded, feeling Zayn's words sink in. She realized how close she had come to making a terrible mistake. Zayn had stepped in just when she needed him most, and despite all the chaos, he had been the one person she could count on.
As they walked away, Sok glanced back at Lei one last time. Lei's expression had turned sour, but Sok knew she had made the right decision.
Zayn gave her hand a comforting squeeze. "You don't owe anyone anything, Sok," he said softly. "Especially not people like her."
