Thanks to her friend's help the previous day Jane was able to transform a rock into a leaf without too much trouble. Natty cheered for her when she finally got it down in class, and Poppy even yelled her congrats from across the room- which was quickly quieted by Professor Weasley.

She was feeling good, so much better as compared to the day before. Even flying class, which wasn't ideal, still didn't get her down. She was walking with a spring in her step as she made her way towards the Great Hall for lunch.

The air was already starting to get cooler, but Jane still chose to take the path outside of the castle rather than moving through the halls. As she moved around the grounds she happily let the cool air blow through her cloak- it was at least warmer than when she was on her broom.

After her talk with Ominis last night she really felt like she was on top of the world. She didn't know how long it was going to last, but even if she fell again she knew it was going to be okay. There was still so much she had to do, problems she needed to solve, and relationships she needed to figure out- but as was life, magic or not.

She looked around the beautiful grounds as she walked, happy again that she had the chance to be outside. She had planned to work in the room of requirements on some herbology stuff, but maybe she could find something to do outside. She could collect some ingredients for future potions- that was something she was lacking at the moment.

Deciding to postpone lunch and gardening for a bit longer she changed her direction and started heading towards Care of Magical Beasts. She knew there were a lot of things to collect just outside the school ground down that way.

She moved happily along, humming as she walked. She noticed there was a beasts class in session still so she skirted the outdoor classroom a little more. Continuing her hum she made her way up the path that moved across the little hill behind the animal area. When the Leaping Toadstools came into view she got to work.

She let her mind wander as she collected the jumpy mushrooms, her humming turning into singing as she continued. It was a bit harder getting these ingredients than in the game. Rather than just walking up, pushing and button and then BAM done- she had to actually do something.

These mushrooms were even more troublesome because even when you pulled them out of the ground they wanted to keep wiggling. Jane barely kept a hold of the first few before stashing them in her bag. She got a rhythm down, the now mindless labor an enjoyable task. She sang her song, her mind (a little guiltily) moving through thoughts of blue eyes and dark moles.

She was so preoccupied with her task that she didn't notice voices getting nearer- or eventually the people emerging from the hill below.

"Hey, it is her!" The voice yelled out loud, and it sent Jane into a bit of a fight or flight. In one swift movement she grabbed her wand, turned around, and casted out depulso on the unsuspecting visitor. Thankfully there were others who had been more suspecting.

Before the spell could hit the owner of the voice- which she now saw was Garreth, another voice called out arresto momentum, and stopped the force of motion in its tracks. The redhead was suspended in the air; first shot back but then held in place.

"Ah shit I'm sorry Garreth-" she called out accio, and on the first try (woot woot) moved him back towards the hill. She dropped the spell when he was in a safe spot and watched as he dropped to the ground. She took a moment to look around before heading over to him- seeing both Ominis and Sebastian; the other spell caster, near as well.

"Are you okay?" She said, holding out her hand to offer to help him up. He took it, looking up at her a little winded but smiling.

"I'm okay- sorry if I scared you. Sallow even warned me not to spook you."
