The next few moments are just a complete fast motion blur for me. Ishido vomits and faints, my while world spins, Monokuma's spine chilling voice sounds over a monitor: "A body has been discovered!"
Puyu remains stoic as she steps over Ishido's unconscious body and turns to face me. It's a wonder how she's unnerved. But then again, if you consider the gruesome talent she has... It sort of makes sense.
Poor Puyu...
"Matsa, I know everything must be overwhelming right now, but you understand what this means, do you not?"
I barely register Puyu's words and manage a nod. She's certainly right about overwhelming...
"Run back to the cafeteria and make sure everybody knows to come here," Puyu goes on. "This is hard, but you do realize we're expected to begin the investigation at once, don't you?"
A sick feeling settles in my stomach, and I nod again. Words fail me at the moment, so gestures like that are all I can muster. She signals for me to leave now while she moves Ishido.
The hallways rush by me in lengthy blurs of color. Before I know it, my feet have led me to the cafeteria, where I bend over to catch my breath. Everyone stares at me expectantly. I struggle to, but somehow I pant out what Puyu had sent me to tell.
"Kyoto's dorm. Now."
Shuki bites his lip, seemingly rendered speechless. But he isn't. He mumbles, "Oh, shit... Kyoto?"
Konya clenches his fists and glares daggers at him. "Not an appropriate reaction to someone dying, Shuki."
"Well..." Shuki pales. "Well excuse me if I... don't always know... how to react..."
Amugi blinks sympathetically. "Give him a break, Konya," she soothes. "This is hard for everyone."
"No shit!" Ren sneers. "We're lambs for the slaughter here!"
Gunji isn't very amused by her metaphor. Actually... saying he isn't amused is a huge understatement.
"There's no time for idle banter," Hiroku groans. "We have a place to be, you know."
Gunji takes the lead this time, leaving me to stumble along beside Kaiki. He links his arm with mine so I don't trip over myself constantly.
"Oh, good..." Puyu says breathlessly as we approach Kyoto's dorm. "It's growing unbearable in this room. Between the dead and unconscious bodies, then the smell of Ishido's vomit mixed with Kyoto's blood... I'm still conscious, somehow."
Hiroku shakes her head. "How do you do it..."
Ren nudges Shuki forward. He flails his arms out in front of him and lands face first in the carpet.
"Detective dude's son, wouldn't you know what to do?"
Shuki shakily rises to his feet. "Fuck you, disrespectfully!" he snarls at her. "My father being a detective doesn't automatically make me one! Are you stupid?!"
Ren shrugs. "I thought you'd know at least something. Sorry, man."
"You don't sound very sorry."
Kio shoves him out of the way and stands right in front of the bathroom door.... Where Kyoto's body is hanging... Blood still dripping from the back of her head, it looks like.
"The Monopad File says she died sometime early this morning, around six," Kio announces.
Saoi scratches his head. "Six? In the morning? That's strange."
"An hour before the morning announcement would play," Jet acknowledges. "It is pretty weird the killer picked that time to do it."
"He probably didn't pick that time. It just happened," Kio points out.
