There once was a world called Teyvat. Or at least that's what the records are stating. Nowadays it is not clear how many regions really existed back then. No one really knows anymore. But I can tell you a story. The story of Teyvat and this horrible timeloop it was captrued in.

But for this time, I will focus on just one of these many stories that shaped the world called Teyvat. It wasn't a very happy one, though, none of them are. But it also isn't the most devastating one either. Today, I want to tell you the story of a girl who was fated to play a goddess but to die as a human.
Her name was Furina de Fontaine. And this is her true story:

On a day, many years ago, a god died and another one was chosen to ruel. Something that was happening here and then. It was nothing new and still strange. Not at that time, but a few years after, a girl appeared. The chosen goddess. The new god of Hydro, ruler of Fontaine. Furina de Fontaine stepped on the stage. The stage called Teyvat. And she was, how any other living thing on this planet, only a puppet in this huge play of fate.

When she stepped on the stage the very first time, after accepting her duty that originally wasn't even hers, she didn't know that she had actually done this so many several times before. And each time was the same, yet different. But how should she have known?
If I recall it correctly, the very first time, her real first time she stepped on that stage, was a disaster. Despite everyone thinking that she was the next chosen hydro archon, she was just a mere girl, created to act as one. And no one should ever find out. That was at least how it should have been. But I already told you that her first time on stage was a disaster. You should already be able to guess how this ended.
Though, her start was a good one for her first time. The people actually liked her. It was a mere accident that ended her life the first time.
Say, did you ever hear of Primodial sea water? Oh, never mind, how could you know? Let's just say that it was poison to the people of Fontaine. The same applied to Furina of course. This primodial sea water was brought under the people as a drug back then and eventually also reached Furinas cup one day. She died by dissolving to water, how any Fontainian would when coming into contact with this particular water.
The first time was an accident. At least that is what one might think. But was it really just that?

The second time was worse than the first one.
Once again, Furina walked up the stage. Not knowing that she already did once before. But how should she have known?
Again, she gave a speech to her people. Everything went well, until one day, she made a mistake. It was just a slight one, but it made the people of Fontaine wary of her. Until one day, they accused her of being a fraud. A witch that took over the place of the Archon, trying to decieve them, while leading them into disaster. I can't explain how they thought about such cruelty, but that is how humans are, are they not?
In the end, Furina was punished for her sins. Imprisoned and then executed how a witch should be. She didn't fight back, since she didn't do anything wrong, though she also didn't want to disappoint the real Hydro Archon who bestowed her of her duty. At the same time, she really hoped that she would be saved by her. She carried out her will all these years after all. Endured anything for 250 years and did as she was told in the beginning. Waiting for this one particular trial. She waited for so long but it never came. But maybe, so she thought, this one is exactly the one I have been waiting for all this time? So she accepted her fate, hoping this would solve the provercy.
But it didn't.

The third time was worse than the second one.
Once again, Furina walked up the stage. Not knowing that she already did once before. But how should she have known?
This time, she appoached the judge of the court. She never really spoke with him in the previous timelines. She had always been convinced that this person wasn't a normal one. It scared her, so she kept her distance. This time, though unknowingly, she suddenly stood in front of him outside of the court. Quickly she found out that his man wasn't just a cold stature that served as a judge, but a way more complex individual.
This time, she shouldn't find out more about him though.
It took only barely 100 years in the third timeline until her people found out about her again, accusing her of being a fake archon.
In the end, Furina was punished for her sins. Imprisoned and then executed. But she didn't fight back. Don't stop them, she had told the judge of the court after her trial. She was waiting these last 100 years, waiting for a particular trial that would end the foreseen prophecy of Fontaine. Maybe this is the trial I have been waiting for, had she told the judge and he held back, while watching her die.
