Unknown's Pov.
The air was thick with tension as I paced the dimly lit room, my fingers tracing the edge of the phone. The quiet hum of the city outside was a stark contrast to the storm brewing within me. Riley's voice crackled through the speaker, strained and urgent.
"We need to act quickly," Riley said, his tone low and anxious.
"Damien's not taking this well. The more he sees of Artemis and Perseus together, the more unhinged he becomes."
I clenched my jaw, trying to keep my voice steady. "What exactly are we dealing with? You said he's been observing them constantly."
"Yes, and it's taking a toll on him," Riley replied. "Damien's obsession is growing more intense. His anger is palpable, and he's convinced that this is a personal affront to him. The more he sees their relationship flourishing, the more he feels his control slipping away."
I could almost hear the tension in Riley's voice as he spoke. "Damien's not just angry; he's becoming reckless. He's pushing harder, demanding more. His frustration is spilling over into every aspect of his operations. We need to move fast, or he'll destroy everything in his path and I'm afraid he wont be able to lead properly."
I sighed, the weight of our task settling heavily on my shoulders. "And what's the plan? How do we keep Damien from losing it completely?"
Riley's voice dropped even lower, almost a whisper. "We need to accelerate the timeline. Everything hinges on this. Damien wants Artemis out of that bastard's life and he's growing more desperate by the day. He's even considering more drastic measures if we don't deliver soon."
I felt a chill run down my spine. "You're talking about something worse than we've discussed?"
"Yes," Riley confirmed. "He's talking about a full-scale operation, something that could get very messy, very quickly. We need to finalize the plan and execute it before Damien does something irreversible."
I took a deep breath, the gravity of the situation weighing heavily on me. "I understand. We'll speed up the work. But we need to be careful. One wrong move and everything could unravel."
Riley's voice was grim. "We don't have the luxury of time. Damien's patience is wearing thin, and his obsession is consuming him. We're running out of time."
Just as I was about to respond, there was a sudden knock at the door. I froze, my heart racing. "Hold on, Riley. Someone's here."
The line went silent as I moved cautiously towards the door, my senses heightened. I peered through the peephole, but all I saw was darkness. I slowly opened the door, half-expecting something-or someone-to be waiting for me.
The room was empty. I turned back to the phone, but the line was dead. Riley had hung up. A knot of unease twisted in my stomach as I realized the urgency of our situation. Whatever was coming, it was going to happen soon.
I stared at the phone, the weight of our impending actions pressing down on me. Damien's rage was a force to be reckoned with, and it was clear that we were on the edge of something catastrophic. We had to act swiftly, or the consequences could be dire.
The room was quiet again, but the tension lingered. I knew that the next steps we took would determine everything. And as I stood alone in the dim light, I couldn't shake the feeling that we were all on the brink of a dangerous precipice.

~Perseus Pov
The early morning light peeked through the curtains, gently waking me from a deep sleep. I stirred, feeling the warmth of Artemis pressed against my side. It was one of those rare moments when the world felt perfect, if only for a short while.
