When someone is given power, take a look at what they use it for, but also who they use it for. Power isn't given to those who abuse it for their own selfish desire, power is given to those who earn it. Superhuman abilities do not make the person who they are, rather, the person makes the power what it is, and can be. To return to our story, Jeck Henma must decide who he wants to be. A protector of this universe, or a being capable of untold power.

This is how Jeck Henma became the Strongest Henma Alive.

In Jeck's room, He lie on his bed, sleeping rather soundly. Before his mind starts to give his dreams, the kind of dreams that only he would be scared of. In his dream, he was wandering his homeland. The Home of the Henma Family. He looked to see the children, the women, all members of the family together. Jeck smiled, gazing at the family that he thought was gone.

In a flash, everything was lit ablaze.

Darkangles warships in the sky, the family was lying on the ground, blood splattered across the place, pooled unnaturally, soaking the earth and their clothes, the metallic scent in the air was nauseating. Jeck's expression was one of pure terror as he stared at the massacre in front of him. His entire family, absolutely slaughtered. Darkangle stood there, his father's head was held in his hand, as though he was mocking Jeck. Darkangle stared down at Jeck, throwing his head to his father's head to his feet. His dead father would open his white eyes and yell.

"Where were you when we needed you?! You are not my son!" Before he could respond, Jeck woke up with a gasp, frantic breaths seizing his chest for a moment. He was sweating, and if one looked closely, his hands trembled just slightly.

There was a soft, almost tentative knock at the door. Jeck took in a deep breath, calming his nerves.

'It was only a dream,' he told himself.

"Come in." He answered the door after calming down. Maristella began to walk in with some pajamas, speaking gently, as she usually did. She had a talent for soothing people with her voice.

"Hey. Are you okay? I heard some worrying noises so I wanted to make sure." Jeck nodded, wiping the cold sweat from his face before responding to her.

"Yeah, just a nightmare." Maristella would walk over and sit beside him.

"What's wrong?" Her voice was gentle, but concerned.

Jeck remained silent for a bit. He thought of the words he needed to gather before answering. "All I've ever wanted was to make my family safe. Now that they are gone... I don't know what to protect."

Maristella took a breath, placing her hand on his, and squeezed. "Jeck, you aren't alone. We have all lost everything because of Darkangle. Tekina is grieving, along with Kage, Aiden, and everyone else. JR and Coraline don't even know if their mothers are alive. Even I'm grieving. You aren't alone, alright? We are a team, but beyond that, all of us are a family. So if nothing else, we protect each other."

Jeck took some time to really sit with this information. A family that isn't his blood? He's never had that.

Gerald broke their moment over the intercoms. "Legion, please report to the meeting room. Thank you." Maristella would take a look at Jeck, making sure he's okay.

Jeck nodded with a small smile."I'm okay. Go ahead. I'll be there soon." Maristella nodded, though she knew he could not have been perfectly okay, she had faith he would be just fine with time. She got up to leave the room, giving Jeck a brief thumbs up. Jeck took time to clear his mind, and then walked into the meeting room, seeing everyone surrounding a holographic image of the Planet Ryphaen. Kastos glared at Jeck as they all turned to him, before going back to what he was saying.
