The dark ego hesitantly walked around the cave. Illinois had guided him here and gotten lost somehow, so now he was alone. Well, Mark was there too, crawling on the ceiling.
"Can you get down from there?!" "Hmm... no."
Dark groaned in frustration. "Fine! But don't complain if you hurt yourself."
The actor chuckled and dropped from the ceiling, landing in Dark's arms. "I would never~" Dark immediately put him down, not wanting him any closer. Mark dusted off his suit. "Ugh, I just bought this suit, and these boots!" he whined. "Why did we have to get lost in a cave?! It's so dirty!" he complained even more, pulling out a pocket mirror and gasping in horror. "Damien, why didn't you tell me I look like shit?!" he turned to the other man, who looked disinterested. Dark's aura flickered. "I wouldn't see a difference, you always look like shit."
The two continued to walk for a while, until Mark started to get unnerved. "Damien, do you mind if I hold onto your arm, I- I feel- scared?"
"Why on earth- fine. Whatever." he held out an arm for the snake man beside him.They continued on their journey. The cave was really long. It should've ended by now surely. The actor usually wasn't scared of many things, he was the most powerful ego, the second being Dark, and yet here he was, being afraid of an obnoxiously long cave. He was acting like a coward. Mark shook his head and let go of Dark, which Dark didn't even notice."Are you alright by any chance? That was fucking weird."Mark nodded. "Mhm. I'm completely fine. How long have we been here? And is uhm... is Illinois coming back?""Probably not.""Oh."They had been there for what felt like an eternity. Mark had gotten so scared he was in his cobra form and was wrapped around Dark's upper body."You are such a big baby you know?""Hissssssss."
