𝐍𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 her white eyes glancing at Ben who was tending to Ashlyn wounds

Ben Clark.. she didn't know him, she knew he didn't talk at all, he kept to himself the only thing she knew about him was that he practically towered over anyone he meets

Ben feeling someone's gaze looked to the side meeting eyes with Nahila who quickly turned her head back down in emmberasmment

A loud smash interrupted the silence which was caused by Aiden recklessly breaking a bottle

"Aye! Look another weapon!" Aiden exclaimed happily

"Hey watch it! You should've done that in the bathroom, now there's glass everywhere!"

"I'll get the broom.."

Nahila looked to the side to see Ashlyn practically holding in her tears as Ben poured disinfect on her arm

"Hey.. do you wanna hold my hand...?" Nahila questioned as she sat next to Ashlyn

Ashlyn gladly took her hand squeezing it tightly in pain

Then Aiden can sit next to Nahila practically squishing the girl

" I never took you for the leader type" Aiden commented to Ashlyn

"..I'm not, but my parents are."

"Your parents?"

"They're both from the military"

"Ah I get it, so you used to being told to do in a situation like this"

"Well, not a situation like this."

"Then do you also know self-defense?"

"I've taken a few kickboxing classes"

Aiden nodded enthusiastically before whipping his head towards Nahila

"So you know how to use a sword?" He questioned

"Katana's" she corrected

"OH! So you're like a ninja!"

Nahila couldn't help but smile at Aiden's silliness

"Yeah, I suppose so" she chuckled

"How many more of these do we have?" Ashlyn's voice rang out to Nahila right beside her

"Uh, eight including the ones who were taking off right now" Taylor responded

"It's been quiet for a while now do you think the monsters are gone now"

"Oh they're still here don't worry" Nahila responded

"That's what I was worried about" Taylor sighed

"I can hear them but not in a normal way." Ashlyn's voice rang out

"what do you mean?"

"Remember how I said I have sensitive ears?"

"Oh! That's right so can you hear them moving around or something?" Aiden commented

"Sort of, they make a sound that you guys can't hear" Ashlyn explained

"Can you get to the point?" Tyler's voice rang out

Nahila slowly took off her sandal again raising it menacingly at Tyler who sweat dropped and Ashlyn once again put her hand on her should to lower her again

"I'm trying to you jerk it isn't exactly easy to explain"

"the thing is, because of how loud everything is to me I hear phantom noises
as a side effect sound that is not there"

"In Sorrel Wheel House I thought I was hearing the phantom noises and when I saw the monster I thought it was just another type of hallucination"

"but then it grabbed me"

"A hallucination that grabbed you and injured you and what all of us had seen and you thought it wasn't real" Tyler scoffed

"Tyler I swear I will shove my shoe so far up you-" Nahila was interrupted by Ashlyn

"-No, nevermind that doesn't matter right now"

"what I've been trying to explain is I can hear them and locate them while you guys can't"

"So what's the plan then is your magic hearing to save the day" Tyler Condescended

"No, well.. yes but later"

"I think right now our best course of action is to stay here and prepare ourselves" Nahila spoke up
