𝐍𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐲 opened her eyes seeing that they were all still in the back of the bus

"Duck!" Ashlyn yelled at them

Nahila quietly settled in between Taylor and Ben

"is it still here?" Nahila questioned

Ashlyn nodded

"what are we gonna do?" Taylor questioned nervously fidgeting with her hands

A look of determination crossed Ashlyn's face

"We're going to have to kill it."

"How are we to do that?"

"We could have Logan shoot it through the window?"

"no, the gun is for emergencies only"

"Isn't this technically an emergency..?"

"an emergency is a swarm or if one of us is about to die.."

Nahila listened intently Something in the back of her mind was nagging her when suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her stomach almost as if something had scratched her she winced as she held it

Everyone turned to look at her in concern before Ashlyn whipped her head to the side of the open bus

"Hide under the seats!"

Nahila's breath was still. She felt panic, a heavy feeling in her heart. She knew something was going to go wrong, but what?

She felt a gentle nudge on her arm to saw Ven grasping her hand and giving her a look of concern Mahila gave him a shaky smile lightly squeezing his hand as the phantom took slow steps toward the back of the bus

Nahila suddenly felt a pang in her heart looking forward she saw the phantom reach for her

"Nahila!"

Ben yanked her back the phantom claw grazing her cheek lightly as it got on all fours and reached for her again

Mahila quickly grabbed it and pushed Tjem forward as her legs pushed his head back rendering it immobile

"Grab the weapons!" she yelled through gritted teeth

As the group went the weapons the phantom slipped from her grasp and crawled towards her its beady white eyes staring at her

It didn't move just stared at her for what felt like forever before Ben stuck some large pliers into the phantom head causing the white-haired girl to be covered in its blood

"Nahila! Are you okay?!" was the last thing she heard before she fainted
