Lily crouched behind the crumbling wall, her breath steady despite the chaos erupting around her. She could still feel the remnants of the drug working through her system, numbing the pain in her sore, likely fractured arm. The street ahead had become a battlefield, with three gangs—The Maulers, The Cultists, and The Chemists—tearing into one another for control of Cinderville's remains.

The Maulers, as savage as ever, smashed everything in their path, while the Cultists chanted and advanced with fanatical fervor. The Chemists, however, moved with cold, disciplined precision, and it was them who spotted Lily first. Their leader, with his cold eyes locked on her, didn't hesitate. "That's Malikia's girl," he said. "She's worth something."

The Maulers turned at those words, their faces contorting with rage. "She's the one who took him out!" one of them bellowed, pointing a gnarled finger at her. "Let's make her pay."

But it was the Cultists who unnerved her the most. Unlike the others, they didn't seek revenge. Their leader, with eyes glazed in religious ecstasy, whispered in awe, "She's seen the dead lady who fought Malikia... she can lead us to glory."

Lily didn't have time to think. All three factions were closing in on her, and she knew she'd have to fight her way out. Gripping her knife tightly, she launched into the fray, her body a whirlwind of motion. The Chemists attacked with precision, but Lily was quicker. She dodged a kick, and with a quick sweep of her leg, she took down one of their fighters, the sound of a breaking kneecap echoing through the chaos.

The Maulers came at her next, their brute strength a terrifying force. She ducked under a heavy swing and retaliated with a sharp slash of her knife, cutting deep into flesh. They were relentless, but so was she.

The Cultists were the wildest of them all. Their blind faith drove them to attack with reckless abandon, but their lack of skill was their downfall. Lily moved through them like a ghost, her movements efficient and deadly.

With bodies falling around her, she finally saw an opening. She kicked a Mauler into a group of Chemists, creating just enough chaos to make her escape. Sprinting down a narrow alley, she left the gangs to tear each other apart, disappearing into the night, and heading back to her rundown apartment.
