-Wednesday, July 20th-

I walk up to the Hephestus cabin with a mission; Get my shit back.

I’m so tired of having to do this, this might be the most annoying part of my duties. I wouldn’t consider myself confrontational by any means, but having to go door to door like this puts me in a sour mood, therefore, it makes everyone I have to bother in a sour mood…

Sorry, that was an immediate outburst. I try not to do that sort of thing, but nothing makes me angrier than not being able to find anything.

We're missing a lot of medical equipment from both the Apollo cabin and the infirmary, which means it's time to collect them up from all of the cabins, starting at three and working my way through them. We had to take a walk back to the infirmary to drop some off from the Demeter and Ares cabins. I almost got in a fight (per usual) with the Ares cabin when they were rude about me taking the equipment.

Luckily, this time around I have Nico, the terrifying son of Hades with me.

He looks a lot less terrifying right now and a lot more like any other fourteen year old boy as he follows around after me, eating from my bag of trail mix that we've been sharing as we make our rounds.

"Thanks for coming with me, this part of the job stinks." I tell Nico.

“I think it’s funny.” He says.

"You do? I hate confrontation." I sigh, pushing the cabin door open. I can do this. I’m so ready for this…

“I love it.” He says, eating an M&M.

“Will!” Leo greets me immediately, coming over to us. I can’t do this… I don’t want to be mean to Leo.

I smile, waving at him. "Hi, I'm here to break heads and take names."

“Huh?”

I laugh. "It's equipment collection day. Does your cabin have anything in your possession that belongs to the Apollo cabin or to the infirmary?"

“Hmm…” He grabs Nico’s shoulder, “I have this, I think it’s yours?”

I chuckle. "Does it say property of Cabin 7 on it?"

“It should~”

Nico smirks. “Shut up, Leo. Actually give Will his stuff, or else.”

Leo slowly lowers his hand. Nico softens up and holds a peanut out to him, which he takes. “Not sure if we have anything here.” He tells me as he eats my peanut.

I hold a hand out to Nico, wanting some of my trail mix. "Yeah. I'll start asking around, too, unless you want to just yell out an announcement for me?"

It's a lot easier when they do it for me.

Nico grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers. It’s cute but it’s not what I wanted. I wanted a snack, but I’m happy to hold hands.

“I can just run around and check if you want. There’s not a ton of space in here.” Leo offers.

"Sure, that would be awesome." I say, squeezing Nico’s hand.

I glance over at him, holding my other hand out as Leo runs off. "Can I have some?" I specifically ask.

“…Oh. Sorry.” He pulls his hand away. He digs around in the bag for a moment before holding out a few peanuts and almonds.

"...Thanks." I take them and start eating them. "I need to make sure Leo doesn't come back with the sets I just leave here."

The Hephestus cabin gets a bit of special treatment, in which they get a few of their own sets of crutches and things along those lines. It got to the point that I was taking them back, then handing them right back out the next day, so there was no point in collecting them.
