Branch and Poppy One Shot

A Sweet Party

Queen Poppy and Branch help King Gristle out with a surprise...

''Ok, let's see I got the plants taken care of, also Guy Diamonds surprise party.'' Poppy said on her bed going over a list of things to do.

There was a knock at her door. ''Come in.''

It opened and she smiled at her boyfriend Branch. ''Branch! My man!''

''Hey Poppy, I just came to tell you that Gristle is here and wants to talk to you and me.'' He said kissing her cheek.

Poppy was surprised but followed Branch and went over to where Gristle was.

''Hey Gristle.'' Poppy greeted jumping on the stump.

''Greetings Poppy listen I need yours and Branch's help.'' He said looking around.

''Sure, what can we do?'' Poppy asked looking at him.

''See--um I'm planning a party. But not any party I want it to be a proposal party, I'm going to ask Bridget to marry me.'' He showed the ring.

Poppy swooned hands on her heart. ''Oh Gristle, she'll love it!''

''So, what do you need us to do?'' Asked Branch.

''I know you guys are busy, but could you help me with setting up a proposal party? You guys know what to do and I don't plus I have to keep Bridget busy.'' He said.

''Of course, well help you.'' Poppy said.

''Yeah, you guys deserve happiness as well.'' Branch smiled.

''Great, so here is a list of stuff I want to do, invite the trolls if they want to come and I'll deal with the Bergan's.'' He said.

''Alright. When do we start?'' Poppy asked.

''Tomorrow, meet me in Bergan Town.'' He said.

''On it.'' Poppy smiled as Gristle left.

''So, we really doing this Poppy?'' Asked Branch.

''Yes, we need to. So, lets gather the trolls and tell them about it and we need to do a head count of what trolls are coming.'' Poppy said.

''On it.'' Branch gathered all the trolls, and they came to the mushroom where Poppy was.

''Everyone King Gristle is going to propose to Bridget, and he wants our help to do a proposal party. So I need to know who is attending and it will be on Friday, also me and Branch are going to need help.'' Poppy said.

The trolls were talking when one piped up. ''So, if your gone who's in charge?''

''I'll be taking over for Poppy while she is away.'' Peppy said coming up.

''I was just going to ask you daddy.'' She smiled.

Branch got a head count, and the Snack Pack came up.

''We'll help Poppy.'' Satin said.

''Remember guy this is a surprise so nobody can tell Bridget.'' Branch said.

The next day they all traveled to Bergan Town, and they went into the castle and up to where Gristle was in a side room.

''Alright you guys made it. So, I'm going to have the party in here, and I got all the party stuff I could find.'' Gristle said.

''Alright.'' Poppy said.

''Also, Chad and Todd with Amy and Mia they will help you with putting up a banner and stuff. I'll come to check on it in a bit.'' Gristle said.

''We got this, go keep the future queen busy and happy.'' Branch said.

''Thanks, I owe you guys.'' Gristle said.

''Ok, let's get to work.'' Poppy said as they started.

Meanwhile Gristle saw Bridget had come out of the kitchen.

''Hey babe.'' He said.

''Hey Gristle.'' She smiled.

''What were you doing in there?'' He asked.

''Oh, just seeing what was on the menu for supper.'' She replied smiling.

''Say, why don't we go out for pizza tonight?'' He asked.

''Sure, say maybe on Friday we can go visit Poppy and trolls.'' She suggested missing Poppy.

''Sure, I'm sure she would like that.'' Gristle said as they left.

With the trolls....

''Ok, now let's place the banner a little more to the left.'' Branch said while Smidge, Cooper, and Biggie were working on the decorations.

Mia and Amy were doing that while Poppy and the twins went into the kitchen and helped the cooks with the food.

DJ Suki and Guy Diamond were going over some of the music they should play for the party.

''Ok, and there perfect.'' Branch said.

''Hey Branch.'' He jumped to see Poppy next to him.

''Hey Poppy.'' He smiled as he felt her hand slip into his.

''How's it going?'' She asked.

''Pretty good, how is the food coming? Find a menu?'' Branch asked.

''Yeah, they are working on some of it and Satin and Chenille are helping with the cake.'' She smiled as she went over to help with the decorations.

''I can't wait until we do this for Branch proposing to Poppy.'' Guy said.

''I know the feeling, but this is a start.'' DJ said.

Branch overheard this and blushed smiling. 'Maybe someday.' He thought looking over at Poppy.

Friday....

''Grisy what is this about? I thought we were going to see the trolls?'' She asked.

''Yeah, we will but there something I want to show you first.'' He said as he opened the door.

Bridget was shocked seeing Bergan's and trolls all gathered together.

''SURPRISE!'' They shouted.

''Woah, guys this is amazing! But what's going on it's not my birthday.'' She said and saw Poppy.

''Poppy!''

''BRIDGET!'' Shouted Poppy as they hugged.

''We were coming to see you.'' She said.

''Yeah, well I figured we might as well come here.'' Poppy said.

''What is this for?''

''Bridget, I have something I want to say.'' Gristle said coming over and holding her hand.

''I love you Bridget and I never knew true happiness until I met you and you changed me, but now I want us to be together forever, so will you marry me and become my queen?'' Asked Gristle getting on his knee.

Bridget was shocked and smiled. ''YES. YES, I WILL MARRY YOU!''

The two Bergan's hugged and shared a kiss everybody awed at this. Poppy and Branch were holding hands.

''So, who idea was this?'' Asked the female Bergan.

''Mine, but I had Poppy, Branch and the others helped set it up.'' Gristle said.

''I can't thank you guys enough.'' Bridget said happily.

''Anything and anytime it was fun.'' Poppy said.

''Yeah it was.'' Branch held Poppy's hand.

''Something tells me you two are going to be next.'' Bridget smiled fondly at them.

Broppy blushed and they all enjoyed the rest of the party.
