Xavier's Pov

"Wala pa bang update kay Kyline?" tanong ko kay Xaña nang bumisita siya sa gitna ng shooting ko. Nagdala siya ng milk tea para sa lahat kaya nagbreak muna kami. Ngayon nasa loob kami ng tent ko at kami lang dalawa.

"Wala pa. Iyong investigator natin pinag-aaralan na rin niya si Lara."

"Lara? Kyline's friend?"

"Best friend!" She corrects. "Oo, dahil baka may alam iyon. Hindi mapaghiwalay ang mga iyon, di ba?"

Xaña was right. Kahit nga noon kahit na gusto ko na sa bahay ko si Kyline habang nagbubuntis siya, ayaw ni Kyline. Mas gusto niyang kasama si Lara. Hinayaan ko na lang siya pero nagsu-sustento ako the whole months sa pagbubuntis niya. Minsan lang din ako nakakabisita sa kanya noon dahil marami akong projects noon. I wasn't even there when she delivered Zion because I was in the middle of a shoot.

"Yes, kung totoo ang hinala natin na may kinalaman talaga si Kyline. Lara highly knows about it."

Xaña shook her head and cocked it to the other side. "Syempre, may kinalaman talaga si Kyline. Ebidensya na lang ang kailangan natin. Siya lang kasi ang huling kasama ni Z that time na nawala ang pamangkin ko. Tapos sabi mo pa, hindi makapagbigay ng maayos na statement si Kyline. Iyan palang may foul play na, Xavier. Don't be blinded just because you once loved her," she pointed out.

My face immediately contorted.

"That was before. I have Lawrence now, and I know I'm more in love with him than I ever was with Kyline," I argued.

"Sure," she said, adjusting in her chair. "Ayaw mo na ngang umuwi ng Cebu o mawalay sa'yo. What are you afraid of Xavier? Alam kong labas ako sa relasyon ninyo pero hindi mo nga sinunod ang suggestion ko na ilayo muna sila ni Z."

I have a lot of fears when it comes to Lawrence. One of his abductors is still out there. What if his trauma resurfaces? What if the things that happened to him before happen again? I don't want to be away from him because I can't protect him when he's away from me.

"Z is safe with Lawrence, Xaña. They don't need to be separated. Besides, both of them are important to me, and I can't function well without them in my house."

"I heard he's only staying at your house for two months, right? Don't take it the wrong way, brother. Pero, what if gusto nang umuwi ni Lawrence?"

"I..." I really don't know. Wala na siyang uuwian sa Cebu since nandito na rin sa Manila sina Manang Dilya and his brothers. But maybe, when he decides to go home to Cebu, Manang Dilya will go to Cebu as well, along with Camelot.

"I will not imprison him in my house, Xaña."

"He's been staying with you for more than a month. He would still be staying with you."

"I know."

Ever since Lawrence and I became official, he doesn't mention about going home. Lagi niya pa namang pinapamukha sa akin noon na pang-two months lang daw siya sa bahay ko. Noon atat na atat akong umuwi siya pero ngayon ayaw ko na siyang umalis. Hinihintay ko na nga lang na sabihin niyang mananatili siya sa bahay ko dahil talagang hinding-hindi ko siya pipigilan sa gusto niya.

"Anyway," Xaña said before getting up from her chair. "I gotta go. May lakad pa ako."

"Are you still following Kyline? Let the investigators do their job, Xaña. I don't want you to get into trouble or put yourself at risk."

She smirked. "Don't worry about me. Kaya ko 'to, lalo na kung si Kyline lang at Lara. And I won't interfere with the investigators as much as possible."
