Uzi and V sat in silence for a while. Neither wanted to say anything, so why would they? They both stayed in their positions, not feeling it necessary to move.

The sun had drastically fallen since the false encounter with Khan, so they would have to move out soon. V knew that this was her only chance to escape the planet- escape the solver. She really didn't want to go back, but she knew the only other alternative was death.

Maybe not quite death. She wouldn't be able to die that easily, even if she did die, Cyn would most likely bring back one of her copies just to repeat the process all over again. It's happened before, V had lost count at this point.

When they first got sent to the planet, V was terrified. She woke up in a body that wasn't her own and wasn't in the safety of her home either. She tried her best to fight Cyn, go back to how things were. It clearly didn't work though.

She had tried to protect N and J multiple times too, it never worked out in the end. V didn't know how much the others remembered, but she remembered every encounter very vividly. It's been some time since she tried a stunt like that before, so her ideas mixed with reality leaving her wondering which memory's were false, and which were true.

V looked at the worker, deciding if now would be a good time to remind her of the plan. "You remember the plan, right?"
"What, the 'get off the planet'?"
"Glad to see you're still not completely useless."

Uzi turned to face V with a deadpanned look. "Whatever, you know you can't do this without me." She finished her words off with a smug smile.

V ignored Uzi's statement, continuing her previous sentence. "When night falls, we need to go."
"Back to the spaceship? What if Cyn shows up?" Uzi asked with a worried expression. V couldn't promise the worker that Cyn wouldn't show up, nor that she even would.

No doubt that corrupted worker would turn this into a game, she probably knew about the spaceship by now, and that worried her the most. Her plan was to escape the planet without Cyn finding out so it had no idea where she was. That plan was obviously fumbled now though. And with Uzi already going through this transformation... she was balancing her life on the edge of a knife. This mission was suicide.

V pinched the bridge of her non existent nose as she spoke. "We'll go back there in a few days to make sure that thing is occupied looking for us. Deal?"
"Yeah, I guess. Just as long as Cyn stays away from us- W-WELL more so me!"
"Tch, stupid worker. Always fumbling over your words."
"Bite me!"
"Hm. Fine."
"W-WAIT WAIT WAIT-!!"

V bared her fangs almost in a playful way, her claws soon adding to that aggression. Uzi tried to swat V away as if she was some fly, but V never even moved an inch over to Uzi. Once Uzi noticed this, she said an audible "oh", then looked into the distance with shame. V only found amusement in this and chuckled to herself as Uzi shot her back a glare.

It's been a week since J last saw V. She was getting aggravated, either she ran off or died. Both of those sounded so unlike her though. V wouldn't allow herself to die, not by a worker at least. And her running off just didn't make sense. She's never shown any sign of wanting to, so where the fuck was she? Did she burn up in the sun or something? Cyn would've sent a copy if that happened, right? Was there some deeper meaning to all this?

J decided to take her anger out on poor N, so she waited for him to finish hunting. She had been doing this ever since the second day V had been concluded missing. She not only made sure he took care of his quota, but also V's. It was a lot of pressure for him and he desperately wanted something to change. He just wanted V back, was that too much to ask for? Couldn't he just have one thing go his way for once?
