Life has just begun for Maria as she starts her first year of college. She's rooming with her best friend Ivory who is in year two, everything is going great.

Or she thought... a boy had been creeping around Maria lately and she feels that something is off.

After class, Maria makes her way to the library across campus in attempts to lose the boy. His name was Reese Romes.

Reese had asked Maria out during the first week's student assembly to which she rejected him. Again.

(6 Years Prior)

He had eyes for her since middle school, Reese was mesmerized with Maria's beauty and his parents noticed not long after.

His parents thought Maria was cute and wanted Reese to pursue her. Maria's parents were their church friends and they thought the same.

One day, both parents planned an arranged play date for the two. However, Maria did not take to any part of it and made crystal clear to everyone else of the same. Not even 5 minutes into the date, Maria had got up, yelled, punched Reese in the face, and ran out.

Maria's parents apologized to Reese and his parents for her behavior and left to get Maria. At home, Maria told her parents to never pull anything of the sort again as she despised him with all her guts.

They asked her why and she replied that she had witnessed Reese abuse a little girl outside the church when she went to the car to get something. They understood and told her that they would not speak to his family any longer.

By the next day, Mr. and Mrs. Bishop had called the Romes explaining the situation and decided to cut ties with them.

Reese was upset at her reaction but was still determined to make Maria his. He had been stalking her since.

(Present)

Reese lost Maria in the halls as more students started to crowd the narrow space. She slipped through the mass and found the library entrance.

She looked behind her, seeing that Reese was gone. Still, she pushed the doors open and ran towards the back book isles.
