As I got lost in Lily's smile I caught a glimpse of long shiny blonde hair. She caught my eye, not for being my type, but for being the one person in camp I didn't recognize. I looked back at Lily and saw her looking across the campfire. Sam. I cringed. Sam has been at camp as long as me and Lily have been. I don't think Lily knows I see her, but every now and then she is staring at him with her "omg, please kiss me right now" eyes. A stab to my heart. Fight fire with fire I guess. I decided to talk to that new girl tomorrow. I decided to finally be over this childish, stupid, never gonna happen, crush.

I woke up the next morning and stared at myself in the mirror. I would usually fluff up my hair the way I know Lily likes it or wear her favorite color (navy, for your information), but I was determined to finally be free of this crush and let her do whatever she wanted. Half of the time I was sure she just felt obligated to sit with me when she would rather sit with Hannah or Sam. I walked out of my cabin and scanned around for a small 5'2 girl with poofy brown hair. Coast was clear.

I walked to the back of the room where Lily and I's table was. I took a deep breath and took a leap of faith. I was going to purposely hurt Lily. "Hey! I couldn't help but notice you last night. Olivia is it? If you need a seat feel free!" I told the blonde hair girl. She smiled. Not as good as Lily's. We talked and laughed. Not as fun as Lily. Speaking of Lily, I had noticed her and Hannah eyeing me from the corner. To my surprise, she even started to almost charge over. As I looked up at her in confusion her arms wrapped around me, tighter than ever before. She gave Olivia a bitchy look and pulled up a chair. This wasn't like my Lily. Something about her had changed, was she jealous?
