The sun shines bright through the blinds to light up my room. I peek at the clock on my bedside table and groan.

How in the world did I sleep in until noon?

I climb out of bed to throw on jeans and a purple tank top then head downstairs to find some lunch. Going through the kitchen, I cannot find anything that I want to eat. I am just about to give up when Kyle walks through the door with a couple bags.

"What is all of that?"

"I went and got some lunch for us. I hope you like breadsticks and pasta."

"You went and got lunch for both of us?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Kyle, you never think about anyone but yourself so what is going on?"

"I just thought it was time for me to start being nice and considerate to you. After all, we do still live together."

Oh, so this is the reason he is not acting like his usual self.

"I get what this is about."

"You do?"

"If I kick you out, it will be all over the news."

"Ahh come on Dee. I can be nice occasionally. Please do not kick me out, I promise I can be better."

"Yeah maybe when hell freezes over. Do not worry Kyle, unlike you I am a nice person. Thanks for lunch by the way."

I grab one of the bags off the counter and walk to the living room to enjoy a movie on the TV.

I cannot believe he is trying to suck up to me just so I will keep going on with this stupid charade. Well that is where he is wrong, I am done with this charade. As of tomorrow, I am no longer going to pretend to date Kyle just to promote our next movie. If anything, I would rather pretend to date someone else, well anyone else other than Kyle.

I think back to the other guy we casted as the other key main character in the movie.

Ethan is his name I think.

Those piercing crystal blue eyes display in my mind as I think about how perfect his audition was and how perfect he looked. I do not know why but it is hard to get his smile out of my head as I find myself grinning.

"What are you smiling at?"

I look up annoyed at Kyle as he sits down beside me on the couch.

"Nothing you need to concern yourself with. Mind your own business."

"I was just asking a simple question. Can't a boyfriend ask his girlfriend why she is smiling?"

I laugh, "no, first off you are not my boyfriend and particularly are not a good person. This is all just a charade you have put on and for some dumb reason I have gone along with it but it stops right now. As of tomorrow, you and I are done and you are out of my house. I refuse to go along with this fake relationship any longer and frankly I do not have to anymore now that our movie has premiered."

"What is that supposed to mean exactly?"

"Well you see, we start shooting for the next new movie tomorrow and in case you forgot I have two co-stars now instead of one. Which means I no longer have to date you to promote the other movie. Which is perfect because you finally have no reason to stay here anymore."

"You cannot be serious, this is ridiculous. What about your mother? You know she won't allow it."

"What about her?"

"She is the one that came up with this whole fake relationship plan. Do you really think she will let you kick me out? If you do then it will not only hurt my reputation but yours as well."

"Oh yeah, try me and see what happens. Tomorrow you are no longer my problem."

I pick up the remains of my lunch and walk out to sit on the lounge on the back porch.

Does he really think I will not kick him out of my house? I am so tired of people questioning me and my motives. This all has to stop and it will start with him tomorrow.

I eat the rest of my lunch in silence as I listen to the chirping of the birds sitting by on the branches in the woods.

I wonder if I will ever see the gray wolf again. I know it was all just a dream but is my father right; can I not trust anyone and are the wolves my friends? This is all too confusing to handle right now at the moment.

I glance toward the woods and wonder if I can handle it if the dream is true.

Can I welcome my father back with open arms if he is to ever return? If so, will I finally learn why he left and where he has been all these years?

I take one last look at the new opening I had created toward the woods then grab the empty bag and head back inside. Luckily Kyle is already passed out on the couch so I will not have to listen to his complaints anymore for the night. I swiftly throw the bag away in the trash can then jog upstairs to get some sleep for my big day tomorrow.
