Jungkook's gaze dropped.
Jimin's laughter paused, sensing tension.
"Tell me," Yuna pressed.
Yuna's question hung in the air.
Jungkook and Jimin, deeply intoxicated, spoke freely.
"The truth...," Jungkook slurred.
"Hyun Soo's wrongdoings...," Jimin added.
"My parents' murder...," Jungkook whispered.
Yuna's eyes widened in shock.
"Hyun Soo killed them?" she asked, horrified.
Jungkook nodded.
"And embezzlement... bribery...," Jimin continued.
"Company secrets...," Jungkook muttered.
Hyun Soo's crimes.
Jungkook's bravery in exposing him.
Jimin's support.
Yuna's anger boiled over.
As she looked at Jungkook and Jimin, she knew: They were too drunk to realize what they'd revealed.
She dialed Hyun Soo's number.
"Hyun Soo, you bastard!" she spat.
"Why did you lie to me? You're not a cop."
Hyun Soo's calm voice infuriated her.
"Who are you to question me?" he sneered.
"You're the Mafia," Yuna accused.
"Jungkook's evidence will bring you down."
Hyun Soo chuckled.
"You think that's enough?"
Stay away from him," she warned.
Hyun Soo's tone turned menacing.
"Or what?"
Yuna stood firm.
"I'll expose you."
Silence hung in the air.
Hyun Soo's voice dropped to a whisper.
"You're just a pawn."
Yuna's resolve strengthened.
"I won't back down."
Hyun Soo's menacing tone sent shivers down Yuna's spine.
But she refused to back down.
"I won't let you harm Jungkook," she repeated.
Hyun Soo's laughter echoed.
"We'll see about that," he sneered.
The line went dead.
Yuna's heart pounded.
She knew she'd just declared war.
Jungkook and Jimin, still intoxicated, lay asleep.
Next morning.......
Yuna stood before Jungkook, her eyes resolute.
"It's time for me to go," she declared.
"Go where?" Jungkook asked, alarm creeping into his voice.
"My old house," Yuna replied.
Jungkook's expression darkened.
"Why? You're safe here."
Yuna's guilt spilled over.
"Hyun Soo's men aren't searching for me anymore," she reasoned.
"It's been too long. I need to start over."
