5. A Monster is Born

When the sun slowly rose up. Alexia cuts the rose vines. She checks if there was any demons lurking.

Alexia: "All clear."

They slowly exited and went to the village.

Alexia: "Be ready for anything..."

Asteri and Eirini nods and activates their magic as Sophie hides behind. As they continued walking on the path. Their eyes stared in horror.

So many dead bodies of the innocence who didn't do nothing wrong.

Alexia: "By the Gods...!"

Eirini couldn't handle seeing this, ended up puking. Her sister and Sophie gently patted her back and telling her to slowly breathe.

As they continued walking towards the village. Sophie immediately gasped and stopped.

Asteri: "What's the matter Sophie?"

But Sophie didn't answer. Instead, she immediately started running to where Zeus who was in his disguised form was. There, he was holding the dead Electra. The two girls were shocked seeing the one who took care of them the most and was like a second mother is now gone. They immediately start to tear up.

Sophie kneels down and tries to shake her mother. Attempting to wake her mother.

Sophie: "Mama! Ma! P-please wake up...! Please! Don't leave me and Heron...!"

Zeus: "I'm sorry... my child."

Sophie then yells and lashes out at Zeus.

Sophie: "NO!!! She is not gone! Mama said she will be with us! Mama said so!"

Asteri and Eirini didn't say anything but started crying and hugging each other. Zeus tries to reach out to Sophie, but the girl slapped his hand.

Sophie: "Where were you?! Where were you when this happened?!? You said you are strongest! I hate you for taking Sophie and Heron's mama away!!!"

Zeus then gives her a force hug. She tried to break it, but she was too weak and immediately hugged him tightly.

Zeus: "I'm sorry... I was powerless..."

Sophie: "I'm sorry... I'm sorry...!"

Zeus: "No child. I am sorry in what you had to go through..."

Asteri then wipes off her tears and notices Heron was not there.

Asteri: "Where's Heron?"

Zeus: "That man, you were looking for... he's not here."

Sophie: "Heron's alive?"

Zeus: "He's been taken captaive."

Eirini: "Captive...? -Gasp-! Are you saying that he's been taken by the demons!"

Zeus doesn't say anything but slowly nods as they see the burned poli. He then starts to tear up. For failing them. For failing her. He wipes and looks at the girls.

Zeus: "My lady. I suggest you take Sophie and the girls with you. It is not safe for them here."

Sophie: "But what about you...?"

Zeus looks at her and gently pats her head.

Zeus: "I'll be fine. Promise me you'll stay strong and listen to the girls in what they tell you."

Sophie gives a small nod and walks to them.

Asteri: "We promise we'll keep her safe."

Zeus: "I know you will."
