I miss the scent you leave behind,
A fragrance so unique, forever entwined.
Your tshirt once held the fragrance I adored,
A trace of you, a memory stored.
But time has stolen that gentle air,
The scent I knew, no longer there.
Perfume in a bottle tries to suffice,
Yet it's not the same, it can't entice.
I yearn for the scent that's solely yours,
The warmth, the love that it ensures.
A fragrance that no bottle can contain,
Just you, and the comfort I wish to regain.
In dreams, I breathe you in again,
A fleeting touch, a soft refrain.
But when I wake, it's gone too soon,
I'm left with the scent of the moon.
So I wait for the day we close this divide,
When I can melt into your scent, my guide.
I hold onto your fragrance, vivid and true,
Longing for the day I breathe it anew.
