The next morning felt colder than usual. Jungkook's sleep had been plagued with restless thoughts, the stalker's latest message replaying over and over in his mind. The explicit nature of it made his skin crawl, and the dread only worsened knowing that even with a new bodyguard, the stalker's threats seemed as real as ever.
He walked into the kitchen, finding Jimin already there, sitting at the table with his arms crossed. His friend looked worried, even more so than usual.
"Hey, Kook. How are you holding up?" Jimin asked softly, concern evident in his voice.
Jungkook tried to smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "As well as anyone could be, I guess. The messages are still coming, though." He paused, then added quietly, "I don't think I'll ever feel safe again."
Jimin nodded grimly. "I don't know what kind of psycho we're dealing with, but this... this is getting out of hand. We need to figure out who's behind this, and fast."
Jungkook sat across from Jimin, his fingers drumming nervously on the table. He didn't have the energy for another conversation about the stalker, but it was all anyone could talk about these days.
Just as he opened his mouth to respond, his phone buzzed.p
Instinctively, both he and Jimin turned to look at it. Another message. Jungkook's stomach twisted with dread as he slowly reached for the device.
The message read:
"You're so beautiful when you're scared, Jungkook. I can't wait to watch you more closely. You'll be mine soon. I'll make you scream, but not from fear... from pleasure. I want to hear every breath, every whimper you make when I touch you. I wonder, are you as soft as you look?"
Jungkook's breath hitched. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest as his face drained of color. The room felt like it was closing in on him.0
Jimin shot up from his chair, coming around to look over Jungkook's shoulder. His eyes widened as he read the message, anger flashing in his gaze.
"That sick freak," Jimin muttered under his breath. "We need to tell Taehyung about this. Right now."
But Jungkook shook his head. "I-I don't know if I want him to see this. It's so..." His voice faltered, and he swallowed hard, the words too humiliating to repeat.
Jimin's face softened with understanding. "I know, but Taehyung's your bodyguard now. If anyone can help, it's him."
There was a knock at the door, and both of them tensed. Jimin exchanged a glance with Jungkook before slowly going to open it.
Taehyung stood on the other side, his eyes immediately locking onto Jungkook, as if sensing something was wrong. He stepped inside, his presence immediately filling the room with an almost suffocating intensity.
"What's going on?" Taehyung asked, his voice calm but sharp, scanning the room for signs of trouble.
Jungkook hesitated, his fingers tightening around his phone. He hated feeling so vulnerable in front of someone who was supposed to protect him. But when he finally looked up and saw the cold, almost unreadable expression on Taehyung's face, he felt a strange sense of comfort in knowing that Taehyung was here to shield him, no matter what.
He handed his phone over to Taehyung, his hand trembling as he did. Taehyung took it, his eyes narrowing as he read the message.
A muscle in Taehyung's jaw tightened, his expression darkening. When he looked up, his gaze was intense, his voice low and dangerously calm. "You'll be safe, Jungkook. I won't let them lay a finger on you."
Jungkook nodded, trying to believe him. But the way Taehyung's eyes lingered on him made him feel exposed, like Taehyung could see through every layer of fear and vulnerability.
Later That Night
Taehyung stood outside Jungkook's bedroom, his tall figure blending into the shadows. He had stationed himself as close as possible, just in case anything happened. Every time Jungkook received a message, his patience wore thinner, his need to track down the stalker becoming almost obsessive.
But there was something else in Taehyung's mind, something darker.
He pulled out his own phone, scrolling through messages sent from an anonymous number. The perverse words that had been sent to Jungkook-words that Taehyung himself had written-flooded the screen. He smirked, relishing the power he held over Jungkook without the man even knowing.
Jungkook's fear was intoxicating.
He sent another message.
"You're so innocent, Jungkook. It makes me want to ruin you, to break that innocence piece by piece. You'll be mine, whether you like it or not. There's nowhere you can hide from me."
After hitting send, Taehyung tucked his phone away and leaned against the wall, his mind running wild with dark fantasies. He couldn't wait to get closer to Jungkook, to be the one who protected him while simultaneously being the reason he needed protection in the first place.
The thrill of the chase, the control, the possession-it was all too perfect.
Jungkook's POV
Jungkook lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling. The room was dark, but the light from his phone illuminated the space as he held it in his hand, waiting for the next inevitable message.
When it finally came, his blood ran cold.
"I'm watching you. Right now."
Jungkook's eyes darted around the room, his heart racing. The feeling of being watched was overwhelming, suffocating. He quickly sat up and grabbed his phone, rushing toward the door to find Taehyung.
When he opened the door, Taehyung was standing there, as if he had known Jungkook would come.
"Is everything okay?" Taehyung asked, his voice smooth and calm.
Jungkook shook his head, his voice trembling. "The stalker... they said they're watching me. Right now."
Taehyung's expression remained cold, but there was something unreadable in his eyes.
"You're safe with me," Taehyung said, stepping closer, his hand brushing against Jungkook's arm, lingering for a moment longer than necessary. "No one's going to hurt you while I'm here."
Jungkook wanted to believe him, but something about the way Taehyung looked at him made him feel even more vulnerable.
