Request: hiya! i love your work and i was wondering if you could do an olivia benson one shot where she finds out y/n is secretly doing drugs/ alcohol because of mental health issues? thanks!
You didn't expect her to come home this early. Hearing the door open you quickly put away the white powder you were snorting and quickly putting it in your secret hiding place. You quickly washed your face and cleaned up as much as you could before Olivia was knocking on the bathroom door. "Baby? You in here?" She asked and you took a deep breath in, feeling the drugs go through your system. "Y-yeah...I'm fine..." you said slowly, trying to sound as normal as you possibly can.
Olivia opens the door to see your tired and disheveled appearance which makes her worry for you worse. She's known that something was up for a while, I mean, she's a detective for fuck sakes. She saw how you acted, how you've been acting towards her and other people, how you barley sleep and eat, barley take care of yourself, etc. The last straw was tonight was when she saw how terrible you looked and she saw some powder that you forgot to wipe away was under your nose. "Baby...why didn't you come to me. I could have helped you..." she said quietly as you looked down at the ground, avoiding her gaze.
You just shrugged and continued to look down. Olivia went over to you and pulled you into her embrace. You immediately broke down in her arms and she felt herself tear up. "I got you babygirl...shhhh...I got you..." Olivia said as she places gentle kisses on the top of your head as she rubs your back. "I-I'm so s-sorry liv..." you sobbed out and she kept soothing you. After a few minutes, you calmed down enough to start talking with her and explain what's been happening. You explained how your mental health was worse than ever and you didn't want to bother her with it so you turned to alcohol and drugs. You knew it was stupid and reckless but you truly didn't think of another way.
She listened to every word you said and made sure to reassure you here and there. You appreciated it and you kept telling her all how you felt and when you started doing everything. By the end of it, you felt a weight being lifted off your shoulders by telling Olivia everything. You knew you were in trouble and there may be a chance of you getting arrested but you were still glad you told your girlfriend. She helped you off the floor and helped you clean up. You told her where you hid your stash and she flushed it down the toilet. You winced a bit and she gave you an apologetic look. "It's for the best baby. I know it's hard and I'm sorry." She apologized and you shook your head. "You didn't do anything, no need to apologize liv..." you replied.
The two of you went into the bedroom where she helped you put your pjs on and helped you brush your teeth. Then y'all went into bed and liv pulled you into her arms, your head on her chest. "I'm gonna make sure you get the help you need babygirl...I promise..." she whispered against the side of your head and you hummed in approval. You knew you had a long road ahead of you, but you know you won't have to walk it alone.
