IN WHICH... !

Ingrid Rebecca Banner had seen more than most people could even imagine !

At just 17 years old, her life had been a whirlwind of chaos and survival. Twice, she'd found herself running from the government, hiding in the shadows as the world hunted her. She had stood on the frontlines of battles no one should ever have to fight, facing down alien invaders as they tore through cities, their destruction turning the world upside down. She had fought alongside the Avengers against killer robots and had faced the Mad Titan, staring into the eyes of something far worse than death, something that promised to take everything. Every step of her life had been a battle— losing people she loved, gaining new ones, only to lose them again. Every fall had come with the painful struggle of getting back up, scarred but determined.

And yet, somehow, after all of that, she found herself here, in the quiet. She had won the right to live a normal life— something she had once believed was the ultimate dream. No more wars, no more battles. Just peace.

Ingrid would never admit it out loud, but deep down, she knew the truth. The quiet wasn’t just unsettling— it was wrong. She wasn’t made for it. The person she had become— the person forged through fire and fear and battle —didn’t fit into the mold of a simple, peaceful life. She had fought too long, endured too much, and in the process, had become something... else.

If she were honest with herself, the quiet wasn’t peace. It was a haunting reminder that, deep down, she wasn't made for a normal life.

And maybe she never would be.

And maybe she never would be
