I look around frantically, tugging on my bound hands and ankles. No. NO. I can't be back. I escaped. No. Please, no.
A form pushes off from the wall and stalks towards me. His light blue hair rustling against his shoulders.
"You really thought you could escape? Sorry, toy, but you're mine. And you'll never escape me."
I begin sobbing and struggling. He reaches a hand out and wraps it around my upper arm, I scream. He tightens his grip.
I bolt up in bed, panting and sweating.
I calmed my breathing and fell back into my bed.
The first few days I woke up screaming and Aizawa came running.
After the first week I managed to keep myself from screaming as to not worry Aizawa and let him get his precious sleep.
Now I woke up silent and terrified. I got about four hours of sleep at a time. It wasn't ideal but I managed.
Deciding that I wouldn't be going to sleep I rolled out of bed and grabbed a book from my bookshelf and a flashlight. Aizawa was right when he said his friend was unstoppable. Midnight, or Nemuri, stocked my entire wardrobe, helped me pick decorations, get make-up, hair stuff, books, some school books to catch me up on what I missed out on while I was gone, and anything else I could or couldn't think of.
I took the book outside and used the rope hanging off of the tree to scale the trunk and then jump from a branch and land on the roof.
I sat and read until sunrise. I had almost finished the book, I planned on finishing it tomorrow morning when the same thing happened.
I set my book and flashlight on the counter and set about getting cereal and milk out of the fridge and pouring myself a glass of apple juice.
"Morning." I called, not looking up from my bowl.
He grunts in reply and fixes himself a bowl, vetoeing the apple juice.
"How'd you sleep?"
"Fine." I replied, lying.
He grunted again.
We had developed a routine in the few weeks I had been here. I wake up before dawn, est at sunrise, he joins me, he leaves for work and I play catch up for all the school I missed and take a nap or two. When he comes home he makes dinner and we watch a movie after cleaning the kitchen together. He goes to bed at 10 and I stay up until I pass out.
"Aizawa?" He hums and continues shoveling food into his mouth.
"I want to be a hero." His hand pauses mid-bite. He looks at me. I stare back at him. He nods slowly.
"Ok." He returns to eating.
"Can you teach me to fight? I want to apply to UA." This time he chokes.
"W-what? Why?"
"Why not? Do you not think I can do it?"
"No, I do. It's just pretty hard to get in."
"That's why I want you to teach me."
"Why do you want to be a hero?"
"Because I don't want anyone to be in the same position I was in. And I want to be able to defend myself."
"Ok. We'll start tonight. After dinner." He stands and takes his bowl to the sunk. "I've gotta go, see you later, kid." I wave as he walks out the front door.
I spend the rest of the day waiting for him to come home. I couldn't focus on anything else or even sleep. I ended up taking my book up to the roof to finish it.
I woke to Aizawa calling my name.
"Himaki! Dinner, come on." I sit up and look over the rim of the roof to see him looking up at me.
"Coming." I toss my book at him and jump off, landing in a roll.
"What's for dinner?" He just rolled his eyes and tossed my book that he caught at me. I grinned and jogged after him.
After dinner he told me to go put some workout clothes on and to meet him outside.
"You want to become a hero? Then you've got to train. We need to work on your physical strength." I nodded eagerly. "I'm not going easy on you. It'll be tough. Today, we'll just see where you are. Let's start with push-ups."
It was abysmal.
I had the strength of a half-drowned puppy.
"It's a start. I want to double your progress by the end of the month. That's three weeks away. Be prepared to feel like dying."
I gulped.
Well, shit.
