Chapter 10

Charlotte pov

It's been two weeks since the court day

Mom has apologized to me more times than I can count,

Andrew is pissed and keeps breaking the walls in his room ,so he's been going to the gym to take out his anger and
Blake has been trying to comfort mom and i the best he can. He's trying to be strong for the both of us, but I heard him crying in the bathroom too many times 

This wasn't how it was supposed to go

He won

How does the saying ,go he may have lost the battle, but he won the war

I guess we know why i was so nervous,
I don't think the results would have changed if I didn't attend

But still I lost, I lost to that damn bastard, he's behind bars and he will be for 5 more months but I know it won't last that long

Avery came in and handed me a tissue. I didn't even know I was crying ,I'm sure she was watching from somewhere and already knows what happened

Even though she works for me, I wanna be like her
she's so strong and fearless such a bad bitch

I chuckled and she raised her brow at me

"It's nothing" I said wiping my tears

"You have 4 meetings to attend the first starting an hour from now should I reschedule it" she asked and I shook my head

"Bad bitches can cry and have bad days but I won't let it affect me or my business any longer" I said and she smiled

"I put your makeup on the counter along with a different outfit and a curling iron" She said and i smiled

She knows me so well

I headed to my bathroom and washed my face I did my makeup ,curled my hair ,changed my outfit and strapped on my heels

Avery opened with door with coffee and snacks in hand

"How do look" I asked her and she looked me up and down

"Like a broken bad bitch but a bad bitch non the less" she said and I smiled

"Thank you" I said and I meant it

I won't let it affect me anymore I'll find my way around this like I always have

I look around and saw that Avery had disappeared again

I swear she's the only PA that does this but i don't mind it one bit

I headed towards the elevator even though she already bought me what I needed I still want to go out and take a breather

It felt relaxing to just walk around of course my head was filled with though I replayed that incident in my head too many times

But I know what I need, I need the contract since it was already brought up in front of the judge I can't get rid of it. I'll just find a way to go around it

I headed back to my office in a much better state than I was there

I really needed that

I stepped into my office, and she was there

"It's about time," she said, not even looking up at me

"I thought you left," i said, heading towards the conference room

"I was, but I can't leave all the work to Elle all the time," she said, handing me the documents, and I scrolled through

"Your guest are already in there waiting for you they just arrived," she said, and I nodded
