Charlotte POV

We arrived at the house, and we looked at each other before heading to the door

We knocked and heard 'I'm coming' before the door was opened

A woman who is not Martina opened the door.
She looked around the same age as her, though

"Well, hello, it's nice to meet you. I'm Dolly, the one who texted you. I'm the mother of the boys," she said, letting us in

"Hello, it nice we met you,"I answered

"There only two of you," she asked, and I nodded

"Yes, the others are a bit busy," I told her she raised a brow

"Well, I wanted to speak to you alone anyway,"

I heard a creak on the stairs. I looked up to see Martina, and she looked surprised to see me

"Ignore her she just ruins everything," Dolly said, and I looked at Martina, confused

"I'm going back in the car," Andrew said, and I gave him the keys. I kinda want to leave too

"No, stay," Dolly told him, and he ignored her and left

"That boy has no manners," she told me

I looked back on top of the stairs, but Martina was gone

"Let's go sit down. So far, we haven't started on a good foot. I'm giving you a chance, and you're blowing it," she said, and it was my turn to raise a brow

"A chance," I replied

"Nevermind that tell me can you cook, clean and iron in order to marry my babies you need to be able to take care of them just like there mommy" she said and I looked her up and down

"I think you have the wrong idea," I told her

"I don't like your tone, and if you think that is the right way to speak to your mother in law I won't approve of you," she said, and I sighed

"As I said you have the wrong idea have you not seen the contract I'm not marrying your son I will only be engaged to him for a limited amount of time" I told her and she glared at me

"How dare you speak to me that way I don't approve of you," she said, standing, and I did the same

"Honestly, I don't care," I replied before heading back to where I saw Martina

Just as I made it up the stairs, I saw her coming out of one of the rooms

Before I could call her, Dolly shouted at me, climbing the stairs

"Get out of my house. I don't approve of you. I won't let you marry my baby," she shouted

"Your house," Martina asked, looking down on her

"As if , get down, you're not allowed on the second floor," Martina said

"How dare -"

"Get down."

"This is why he chose me over you, you old hag," Dolly said before getting down and storming off

"Martina," I called her

"I showed you an unsightly side of me, I apologize," she said

"I'm sure you have a lot of questions. I'll answer them," she said, leading me into the room she came out of

Just before she shut the door, we heard Dolly screaming downstairs

"She most likely calling her sons," she said before looking at me
