The tension of the previous night had been thick, with secrets of the past and future weighing heavily on everyone in Grimmauld Place. But when the morning sun poured through the dusty windows, it brought with it a lightness that had been missing since their unexpected journey to 1995. And in true Weasley fashion, the mood was about to take a joyful turn—thanks to none other than the infamous Weasley twins of the past and their equally mischievous descendants from the future.
James Sirius Potter woke up with a grin already plastered on his face. Today was going to be fun. He nudged his cousin Fred (the younger Fred Weasley, named after their prankster uncle) who was still half-asleep in the bed next to him. "Oi, Fred! Wake up, mate. We've got pranks to plan!"
Fred groaned, rolling over and pulling the pillow over his head. "Five more minutes, James. Seriously, let me sleep."
James, never one to take no for an answer, grinned wickedly. "Fine, but don't say I didn't warn you." He flicked his wand, causing a stream of ice-cold water to pour from the ceiling directly onto Fred's head.
Fred bolted upright, sputtering and wiping water from his eyes. "You absolute git!" he shouted, though he couldn't help the smile creeping onto his face. "Alright, alright, I'm up."
James chuckled, sitting on the edge of his bed. "That's more like it. Now, I was thinking—it's not every day we get to meet the legendary Fred and George Weasley in their prime, right? So why don't we team up with them for the ultimate prank?"
Fred's eyes lit up, all traces of sleepiness vanishing. "You're talking about our uncles, right? I'm in. But how do we convince them?"
James shrugged. "We're their nephews. It's practically our birthright to carry on the Weasley prank tradition. I say we just go down and ask. They're bound to say yes."
Moments later, the two boys rushed down the staircase, nearly tripping over themselves in excitement. They burst into the kitchen, where they found the younger Fred and George Weasley casually leaning against the counter, mugs of tea in hand, their usual mischievous expressions firmly in place.
"Ah, morning, boys," Fred Weasley (the older one) greeted them, raising an eyebrow. "You look like you're up to something."
"Funny," George added with a smirk, "because we were just talking about cooking up a little mischief ourselves."
James and Fred exchanged glances, their excitement barely contained. "That's exactly why we're here!" James exclaimed. "We thought, why not combine forces? The future and the past working together to pull off the ultimate prank."
Fred and George's eyes gleamed with interest. "Now you're speaking our language," said George. "So, what's the plan?"
James leaned in conspiratorially, lowering his voice. "Well, we were thinking of something involving Mum and Dad—" he nodded toward Harry and Ginny, "—and maybe a bit of chaos in the drawing room."
"And a little 'modification' to the food for dinner tonight," Fred (the younger one) chimed in, his grin spreading wider by the second.
Fred and George exchanged amused glances. "You two might just be worthy of the Weasley name after all," Fred (the older one) said. "Alright, let's get to work."
Meanwhile, in the living room, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were discussing their next steps regarding the Vanishing Cabinet and the secrets Teddy had uncovered. Molly Weasley was bustling around the house, making sure everyone had breakfast, while Ginny, Hermione, and Astoria chatted quietly at the table.
Lily Luna Potter and her cousin Rose were sitting near the fireplace, blissfully unaware of the mischief brewing in the kitchen. "It's so weird seeing Dad and Uncle Ron like this," Lily mused. "They're so... young. I mean, look at them, they haven't even had us yet."
