Chapter 3 - Wings.

     Sorry I took so long to update again... I've just had a lot happening to me lately and I don't wanna write the wrong stuff...
      I hope you enjoy this one,and forgive any typos pls...

       She sat there transfixed as he stared at her,hoping she would say something in return... Her cellphone started to ring and she scrambled to get it out of her pocket as it snapped her out of her daze.

           "Hello" she whispered into the phone almost out of breath while Efe tapped his lean fingers on the steer wheel impatiently..

        "Where the fuck are you?", an angry voice hissed at her from the other end of the line,fear clouded her mind as she realized who it was..

       "Pa?",she said in almost a whisper. She grew light headed,her chest constricted and she could hardly breathe.. Shit, how did he know I was gone?. Think Mel,what are you gonna tell him. What if he has some one watching you.. She looked out the tinted window and inhaled sharply. She scanned their surroundings sharply as more words eased into her ear drums.

 

      "Answer me Mellifluous, where the fuck are you?".

    "I just left school now pa, I needed some air."

   "With your new... Ah.. Friend?.. I see you've gotten over Charles.. You're just like your mother.." Her eyes moistened and her breath ceased as she waited to hear him call her what he always did..

  She choked on a sob as he said the word, "whore.. What have I told you about strangers dammit!!!.. I want you back in the next 30 minutes and get rid of that piece of shit with you, if you ever want him to see the light of day again..

    "Pa, I....."..  "You know better than to play with fire" he said and the line went dead ,tears dropped like rain drops on her cheeks..

   

       He touched her lightly on the cheek, trying to wipe a tear from her cheek.. "Get out!" She barked as she yanked his hand from her face..

    "Wi.. Mel,don't do this pls.. Don't shut me out again.... I just wa..."

 

     " Get the fuck out of my car!,she barked, cutting him off as tears kept falling from beneath her lids.. "Get out!" She pushed him against the door as he stared at her dazed.. He was unmoved as he remained still... She got out of the car,stormed to the other side and pulled open the driver's door..

  "Get out before I call the cops on you".

   " what the hell has gotten into you?" He asked as he got out of the car. He stared at her small frame by the door.. She looked broken but her stance was firm.  " Ask the Universe" She spat venomously as she gave him a murderous look and he finally stepped away from the car, he opened the back door and got his bag pack out, he slung it over his shoulder and watched her get into the car and drive off in a flash..

       She was a nut case he thought,but he loved that nut case. I'm gonna find out what's wrong with her.. Did I scare her off?,what did her father say to her?. Is she safe with him. He thought of her tears and it stabbed his heart.. I've got to get to her,but how?.. I don't even have her new cell phone number.. My only option is school.. He heaved a sigh and plucked out his cellphone from his pants. He scrolled through his phone and called his mum.

      "Hey mum, I feel a little sick right now" he lied.. " can you pick me up pls?, I'll wait for you at cold cone. I'm a little stranded.. I'll explain how I got to cold cone when you come mum, thanks mum.  I love you too."
