The next few days passed smoothly. Jungkook and Taehyung were settling into their life together, discovering more about each other and growing closer with each passing day.
One evening, Taehyung arrived home to find Jungkook sitting on the bed, his laptop open in front of him as he typed away. Jungkook looked up and smiled when he saw Taehyung, his eyes lighting up with warmth. He closed his laptop and set it aside.
"How was your day?" Jungkook asked, his voice filled with genuine interest.
Taehyung returned the smile, feeling a sense of contentment. "It was good. Busy, but good. How about yours? How's the novel coming along?"
Jungkook's smile widened. "It's going well. I'm making good progress. I was just working on a new chapter. It's been nice to have some time to write."
Taehyung sat down beside him on the bed, glancing at the laptop with curiosity. "I'd love to hear about it if you're up for sharing."
Jungkook hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Sure, I'd be happy to. It's actually a pretty exciting part. The main character is about to make a big decision that changes everything."
As Jungkook continued to enthusiastically describe his novel, Taehyung listened with genuine interest. The conversation was flowing effortlessly, and Taehyung felt a deep sense of connection with Jungkook. However, he couldn't help but feel a bit nervous as he prepared to reveal his surprise.
After a moment of hesitation, Taehyung cleared his throat and said, a touch of nervousness in his voice, "So... I have a surprise for you. It's something I thought you might like. You can do whatever you want with it—give it away, keep it, whatever you prefer. I just thought... well, it might be something you'd enjoy."
Jungkook looked up, his curiosity piqued. "A surprise? What is it?"
Taehyung shifted nervously but smiled as he reached into his bag, pulling out a small box. He set it on the bed in front of Jungkook. "Open it," Taehyung encouraged, his voice soft.
Jungkook looked at the small box, his curiosity evident as he glanced back at Taehyung before lifting the lid. As soon as his eyes landed on the black pleated skirt inside, he froze in surprise. His mouth parted slightly, and he blinked a few times, trying to process what he was seeing.
He looked up at Taehyung, his expression a mix of shock and disbelief. "Is this...?"
Taehyung shifted slightly, rubbing the back of his neck, clearly nervous. "Yeah, I noticed you looking at something similar the other day and... I thought you might like it. But if it's too much or you're not comfortable, it's okay. You don't have to wear it if you don't want to. I just—" He trailed off, unsure how to finish.
Jungkook shook his head, struggling to find the right words. "No, it's just... I've never really tried it before. It's not something that's... common, you know? And I've always kind of felt... weird about it. Like maybe it's not okay or... that people would judge me for it."

Taehyung's expression softened, sensing the hesitation in Jungkook's voice. "Kook," he said gently, "it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. What matters is how you feel. If it's something you're curious about or something that makes you happy, you should feel free to explore it."
Jungkook looked down at the skirt, running his fingers over the fabric. "I've thought about it a lot, but I always felt like I'd be... stepping out of line, you know? Like it's not something I'm allowed to do."
