What she felt for Patrick was real. Cassie knew that as soon as her parents had realised Cassie was pregnant that they did all they could to keep Cassie and Patrick apart. But that was over fifteen years ago and they had taken her away and taken her baby from her

Cassie knew that she was heartbroken over all of it and having to move away and leave him. Cassie knew how none of it was easy and she knew that she still thought over him a lot

"This is going to be a fresh start for us. For all of us" Sam said as she looked to Cassie

"What?" Cassie asked

"You know what Cassie. This is a fresh start for all of us but at least we know what the predator won't be here to corrupt my teenage daughter" Sam said as she looked to Cassie

"What are you talking over" Sophie asked

"Nothing" Sam said as she glared between the two

"I could tell her if I wanted" Cassie said loud enough for only Sam to hear as Sam grabbed her arm and pulled her away

"We made this deal for a reason. It was better that we looked after her. You agreed and you know it. Do not mess this family up"

"She is my daughter and you can do what you want and say what you want but nothing will change that. Nothing will change the fact he is her father" Cassie spat as she walked off

Cassie knew how things were with Patrick but she knew she could t let them take Sophie away from them

Cassie walked into Sophie's room as Sophie smiled at her

"Hey are you okay?" Sophie asked as Cassie looked to her and smiled

"I'm okay. This isn't easy you know. Moving away and starting. You're the only who has to start a new school. You know that you can talk to me"

"I'm fine it is what it is" Sophie said Cassie smiled as Sam walked in

"What's going on. What are you saying to her?" Sam said as she looked to Cassie who frowned

"I haven't said anything"

"Sophie go and do your homework"

"It's the holidays"

"Don't start your lip go" Sam said as she pushed Sophie out of the room as she turned to face Cassie

"We agreed that you will keep quiet"

"I never said a thing but if you want to play that way then fine. I could tell her if I wanted but I haven't as I know what it will do to her"

"She's my daughter"

"Really I'm pretty sure I'm the one who almost died having her. Then my mother came and manipulated me into handing my daughter over forcing me after I was in life saving surgery. You can think that all of this was fair but it wasn't. You bullied me into this and we both know it. I never even got to tell her father"

"He is not her father"

"He is. I know you don't like it but Patrick loved me" Cassie said

"He was a predator and I should of locked him up" Sam said as Cassie glared as she walked out of the room

Cassie stood walked through the village with Sophie "hey you know it's all going to be okay don't you?" Cassie said as Sophie looked to her and sighed

"I guess it's just..it's a lot" she said as Cassie pulled her into a hug and smiled as she looked to her

"I know it's not easy I do but we will get through it I am here. All of this is for the better. I love you okay try not to get in trouble." Cassie said as Sophie nodded as she walked off

Cassie watched as she walked off as she turned to see someone that she never thought she'd see again, Patrick Blake. Cassie held a look with him before she asked away. She knew that he was Sophie's father but she knew that she never thought that she'd see him again

She was in shock over it all.

"Cassidy wait" Patrick called as he followed her through the village as they got to the bus stop as she turned to face him

"What are you doing here?" She asked as he looked to her

"It's nice to see you two Cassie. Almost sixteen years later. You vanished without a trace" he said as she looked to him and nodded

"I know. I didn't want to. My parents found out and took me away" she said as he nodded

"What are you doing here" he asked

"My family moved here."

"Of course. Who was that girl that you were talking too. Your sister is grown so that can't be here." He said

"Sophie. She's my little sister well one of them there's also peri. I should go" she said as he looked to her. He felt as if she was hiding something from him. He knew that he wasn't stupid and he knew casise and he could tell that she was hiding something

"Cassidy" he said as he grabbed her hand as the two of them held a look

"Don't look at me that way Patrick. It hurts too much" she said as she walked off as he nodded

Cassie got back to the house. She knew how her head was a mess and she didn't know what to think. She knew how ostrich wasn't stupid and it would only be a matter of time before he met Sophie and realises that she was his daughter

But after years of keeping this secret could she cope with it all?
