the rest of the three weeks Sonic keeps up this same routine of waking up, eating, hanging out till Shadow gets a mission, Shadow gets books from the library for Sonic using the computers begrudgingly to find the suspense books, and then they sleep in the same bed at night.

"It's been three weeks, Sonic, how does your leg feel?" Shadow says while cooking some waffles.

"I'm pretty sure it's fully healed. Do you think we could take it off after breakfast?" Sonic asks, excited to get this cast off his leg that's prohibiting him from moving.

"Of course but as you might have already guessed, you're not going to be able to run at top speed. We'll have to put you through some physical therapy." Shadow says then puts a plate of waffles on Sonic's side of the table. It's got freshly cut strawberries perfectly placed with a chocolate drizzle and some whipped cream.

"What's physical therapy?" Sonic asks, moving over to the table and seeing the waffle looking like it was from a restaurant. "Oh and you do know I'm going to eat this right?"

"I know I just like making it look good, that's all."

"Almost, too good to eat." Sonic says, then shoves a piece in his mouth. "Almost." Shadow laughs then starts talking.

"Physical therapy is exercise done by people who are below average in strength to get them back to average. For you however we're not trying to get you to average, we'll try and get you to your regular pace so you can fend off Eggman."

"Do people normally do physical therapy after breaking a leg?" Sonic asks, wondering if he's just different.

"Depends on the person and their situation but the reason we're doing it is because the most you've been moving is from that bed to this table and back. That's not a lot and your body will definitely not be ready for fighting since that's all it's been doing the past three weeks." Shadow says. After they finish their food Shadow removes Sonic's cast carefully.

"Alright, Sonic, stand up." Shadow says backing up, showing Sonic he's not going to help him up. Sonic stands up quickly with ease but then he looks dizzy.

"Woah this is weird." Sonic says, grasping his head.

    "What is?" Shadow asks, confused.

"Everything's spinning and the world feels like it's no longer up right." Sonic says sitting back down.

"So you're dizzy?" Shadow says, looking unamused.

"Is this what dizzy feels like, man, if I've been dizzy before I sure don't remember it." Shadow then takes Sonic into his territory and they both run around at a fast speed for a couple seconds before Sonic stops and sits down.

"What are you doing?" Shadow says, hand on his hip.

    "Resting." Sonic says, breathing heavily

"Hmm. Fine we can sit for a second but then it's back to running.

"I've never felt so weak before. I didn't even catch up to you before I had to sit down."

"You're not weak, Sonic, you're just, out of practice."

"I'm supposed to be fast though and I couldn't keep up."

    "Hmm"

After a bit Shadow stands up and gestures to Sonic to do the same.
