Sonic is eating a chili dog and talking with his friends at the beach.

"Hey guys if I were to try and date someone how do you think I should go about it?" Sonic asks, hoping for advice on Shadow.

"Do you mean? on the date or asking them on a date?" Knuckles asks.

    "The second one." Sonic says.

"Well, for you, I would suggest a casual hedgehog mating dance." Sticks says "first find a nice smell to rub on your quills, second go up to them spreading your quills out and..."

"Sticks, I don't think Sonic's trying to seduce a wild animal that is attracted to primal hedgehog mating rituals." Tails says, trying not to be too mean.

"You need to be a show off, be strong, have talent in something the other doesn't, and look good in everything you wear." Knuckles says. Sonic thinks and realizes that Shadow is exactly that and that's probably why he's attracted to him. He's cocky, strong enough to beat him in a fight, can cook while Sonic can't, and he looks devilishly good in an apron.

"What? no one's attracted to that." Amy snaps "If you want to get a girl, Sonic, listen to a girl." Amy says, pointing to herself. "Be romantic like In movies, Sonic, buy them a rose, ask them out in poetry, I'm sure you'll win them over with that." Sonic doesn't want to say that he's not trying to get a girl knowing that would make it extremely obvious that it's Shadow.

Sonic thinks "I wonder if what Amy suggested also works on guys?"

"Well that could work but what if you just try being yourself." Tails says. "Someone very trustworthy told me that once and it worked."

"Well, myself is pretend you're not interested and wait for them to ask you out." Sonic says.

"Yeesh," Sticks says "and you guys thought mine was bad."

"Yeah, Sonic be yourself but actually go out of your way to ask them out." Amy says, looking done with his crap.

"So, what, go up to them and say 'hey wanna date' and hope for the best." Sonic says.

"Well, yeah if that's you, and it seems that way, Sonic you always think on your feet if you try not to you'll end up being someone else on this date." Tails says logically.

"Well I don't care, I've got to be more prepared than that. I'll just go with Amy's idea."

"Yes." Amy thinks "I mean it's probably me anyway so using my suggestion is the best idea."

Sonic is at his house sitting at the table with a paper and pencil trying to come up with a poem.

"Ugh, why is this so hard?" Sonic complains to himself he then hears a knock on the door frame

"Sonic? You up for a game of Coconutball?" Tails says.

"Not right now, Tails." Sonic says, turning back to his paper which is blank.

"What are you trying to do?" Tails asks, going over and sitting down on the chair next to him facing the door. He leans over to see what Sonic is writing but it's blank. "Wow, not a lot done huh." Tails says.

"It's the poetry, I need to make a piece of poetry to ask them out with but I'm not a poet." Sonic says, putting his face in his hands.

"Well it's for Amy right, Talk about her looks, say something about her hair, her dress, then make it rhyme."
