9- Mr Cutie Pie

Author's POV:
At Kabir and Mansha's Office:
Again a hectic day with a lot of work and projects which had started led to excessive workload
Mansha was sitting inside Kabir's cabin and Kabir left for a round over the office
She was scrolling and then her phone started ringing
She lifted the call but before she could say something she was cut off
"Are you still there or got shifted to another planet"
She frowned at his statement and a chuckle left her mouth "I'm still here and you will get to know that once I visit"
He then continued in the same sarcastic tone "Ohh please do not visit me this late
It's been close to a week since I have returned and I find no trance of my bestfriend"
Kabir entered the cabin but Mansha was engrossed in their conversation
"I'm sorry Mr. Cutie Pie
I was busy but I promise you we'll meet whenever you say"
The guy on the other side replied
"Whenever I say,ok let's meet today then"
She told in surprise "today?"
He then continued "yeah today I will pick you up from your office if you want"
She thought for a while and continued "no no you don't have to pick me up from office
I will come by myself just share the location and time"
The guy on the phone agreed and said "okay I will send you the location and do not be late"
She hummed and then told "I won't be late mr cutie pie" and chuckled
She turned around only to find Kabir already in his seat
She looked at him and asked "when did you come?"
He glanced at her and responded "when you were busy talking to your Mr Cutie Pie"
Mansha's eyes frowned her eyes and hit up a new question to Kabir
"You were listening my personal chat"
Kabir got up from his chair and started taking calculative steps and uttered "I never knew Mansha you are this weak with your memory,
But it's ok let me remind you this is my cabin and if you wanted to keep your so called personal conversations hidden you can go to an empty place when nobody can hear"
She huffed due to irritation and started to move towards the sofa to do her work that her phone started to ring and it was Arhan
She lifted the call and turned on the speaker and placed her phone on the table
Arhan spoke "Mansha tell Kabir to throw his phone away
Cause there's no use of keeping his phone when he can't lift the calls"
Arhan's anger was quite portrayed in his voice
Kabir answered "My phone was in the cabin and I was in the office for some project work"
Arhan continued speaking "Kabir bring Mansha to my office we have to discuss a mission"
And Kabir agreed "Ok what time do you want us to be there?"
Arhan told "by 5"
Kabir agreed and cut the call
They went back to their work
It was afternoon so they already had lunch in the office itself

~Time skip~
At around 4 pm
Mansha was busy chatting with someone
And she again got a call but it wasn't from her Mr cutie pie
It was from Mr Grumpy
She lifted the call and whispered "I'm in front of you can't you just call my name"
He chimed in "I even tried it
But you seem to be high on your air pods and almost forgot about your surroundings"
She almost whispered "I'm sorry I didn't realise that I wasn't aware of it"
Kabir answered her back "you don't have to be sorry
Pack up for today we have to leave"
She nodded her head and cut the call
Kabir already left his cabin and Mansha was getting ready to leave

Soon Mansha was standing at the entrance and in no time a car stopped in front of her and the passenger seat door opened
She got into the car and Kabir started to drive his car to Arhan's office
Mansha's airpods were off because the battery was over
She asked Kabir "can I play songs connecting the bluetooth"
Kabir told her "no"
But then Mansha muttered "please" with a cute face that can make a person do anything for her
Kabir then agreed and she played
I wanna be yours by arctic monkeys
The traffic had a hold and the roads were a jammed
When the lyrics played
'Atleast as deep as the Pacific Ocean
I wanna be yours'
And their eyes met holding for moment drowning deep and making the eye contact intense but the horn from the behind snapped them back to reality
They looked away and the whole ride was silent
They soon reached Arhan's office
They made their way to the conference hall as Arhan had already informed Kabir to wait in the conference hall
