I stood there in dismay then I heard the door to the bathroom door open. It was the person I least wanted to see that moment, Alexandra. She stood there looking at me. I didn't know what to say. I was angry at her yet I wished that what she just said wasn't true.
" Oh whoops. You were here," said Taylor breaking the silence in the air. she smirked. "Well looks like you don't need to hang around Alexandra anymore."
I was lost for words but I managed to at least do something. "Well it's okay." I began to say. "I was never really her friend she was just a PEST to make my image better." I lied. I was hurt by what Alexandra just said. I would've never imagined that she would backstabbing me like that.
"B-" Alexandra was about to say something but I interrupted her.
I held out the shell she gave me then dropped it. I walked away forcing myself to smile. I didn't look back I couldn't. if I did I would've bursts into a billion of tears.
The next time I saw Alexandra was when we were leaving the beach to go home. the whole time we were silent. Mason and his friends asked if something was wrong, but I just replied with nothing.
The rest of the summer I spent my time in college classes. Even though I was back stabbed doesn't mean I had to be depressed. Everything was SOO easy when you could just study. Why couldn't life be as easy as studying?
When school started, it was back to the days before I met Alexandra. Except there were occasions when Alexandra would look to me. We were In the same class. Also there was Mason and Taylor which made it even better.
On the second week of school was when the peace was interrupted.
"Yo!"
I heard those words when once again I was reading Daybreak.
"What do you want?" I said looking up. To my surprise it was Mason. "OH GREAT!" I thought. "Alexandra told her brother so he can turn everyone against me, even though everyone already is."
"Umm..... Did something happen to you and my sister." he asked.
Well that solved it she told him and he's acting as if he doesn't know. I got out of my chair.
"Nothing really. I just told her how I really felt." i replied. I then left the classroom. Once I left the classroom I went to the bathroom then to the roof since there was still some time left before class started up again. It felt good. The breeze smelled like a mixture of summer and fall. It made all my worries go away. Then, the bell rang and I had to return to reality.
I turned around and started walking to the door that led to the stairs. I tried to open it. I pulled once, then twice, then three times! It wouldn't budge. I guess the janitor accidentally locked me in. I kicked the door down, luckily I took martial arts in 3rd grade. I put some money down to help the school pay for the damage and continued to walk to the classroom. Once I got into the classroom everyone looked at me in dismay. I wonder why?
Once I sat down the bell rang and my teacher walked in.
"Now class," she started saying "we will begin today's class with a pop quiz to see how much you guy understand."
Everybody groaned. "Whoever gets a perfect score gets these Ariana Grande tickets." She took them out of her pocket to show everyone. The spirit rose.
"This is going to be so easy" said Matt.
In my mind I thought my classmates were idiots. A teacher would never give EASY pop quiz if she had to give them something. She began handing out our quizzes. I was right. all the stuff on the quiz was hard. it had things we had learn but also questions that were college level. It also had questions that were going to be on the SAT. I knew all the answers of course. I finished around roughly 2 minutes and placed my pencil down and gave my paper to the teacher. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy.
They started to whisper
"She's definitely not getting those tickets"
"She's pretty cocky isn't she"
The teacher looked at me "Are you sure you don't want to look over it?"
"I'm sure" I replied.
She started checking it. Her face in dismay.
"Good job! You missed one" she said.
I grabbed my paper and looked over it. I know I should've got a perfect score.
"Which one?!" I asked. She pointed to number 17. I checked over it and my answer was right
"I believe you're the one who's in wrong Ms. Hamilton." She looked shock.
"DONT BE STUPID! I AM THE TEACHER I GRADUATED TOP OF MY CLASS AND HAVE A DOCTORITS DEGREE!" She said.
She grabbed my paper then rechecked #17.
"..." Pure silence.
"Everyone turn in your pop quiz." she began trying to hide her stupidity with a smile "We have a winner."
Everyone's jaws dropped.
"NO WAY"
"SHE DEFINITELY CHEATED"
"I DIDNT KNOW ANY OF THESE ANSWERS!"
"Nice job!"
Wait... What did the last person say?
I looked to see who it was and it was Mason. Wow great he's being nice just to get back at me. Well, I'm not that stupid as you can see at this moment.
The teacher handed me the tickets to the Ariana Grande tickets; however, I just declined it. I don't really like Ariana Grande. Anyways the concert was on the day of the Twenty-One Pilots concert.
"She's just rubbing her win in our faces" people in my class began to say. Around school a rumor started that I looked down on people and am really cocky. I could say that rumor was partially true, but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt. Whatever... I ignored all the rumors; however things began getting worse
