An eon ago, right before the first birth of humans, the primordial gods and goddess used the lands of Monde to rage a war between one another.
The fury was sparked over the forced marriage, conceivment and birth of a bastard prince of darkness by the god of death himself and the daughter of the life god, the goddess of light. When the goddess chose to flee once left alone with her newborn son to care for him as any mother would, the primordial overlord of the abyss felt betrayed and broke through the divide to find her once more, angering her father and overlord of the primordial fog, he retaliated and declared war on the mutual empty lands of Monde.
The battle lasted forty eight years, due to the equal contrast of the primordial powers they were unable to effectively take down one another, until one day the god of death himself found away to strip his very species of their own life force, which they believed to be nonexistent until then. The god of Love fell into the muddy flooring of the planet and was left behind after the battle, buried under the rubble of a war that ignited a birth of a whole ecosystem in its place.
The god of love still remains within the soil of Monde to this day, fabled to be providing the land around it with and abundance of lush fruits but well hidden behind the rising dagger-like mountain ranges that surround it, too dangerous for an average human to hike the peak of.
