Stevie's POV
As I stepped out of the car and made my way into the building, my mind was still buzzing with the fun day I'd had with Nico and Devon. The thought of Jack brought a smile to my face. We'd had such a great time the other night, and I couldn't help but wonder what he was up to. I'd been thinking about him a lot lately—his smile, his laugh, and that kiss we shared.
The elevator dinged and I stepped in, my thoughts still drifting to Jack. When the doors opened on my floor, I headed down the hall toward my apartment. Just as I was approaching my door, I spotted Jack standing outside, his hand poised to knock. He didn't see me immediately, and I took a moment to just stand there and admire him.
He was wearing grey sweatpants that hugged his frame just right and a tight black hoodie that looked like it was made for him. The casual outfit made him look effortlessly hot, and my heart skipped a beat. I was genuinely surprised to see him, but my excitement was off the charts.
"Hey hockey boy you're blocking my door" I say giggling.
He finally turned around, noticing me standing there. His eyes lit up, and his face broke into that familiar, irresistible smile laughing at my joke. "Hey there, beautiful," he greeted, his voice warm and playful.
I grinned back at him, feeling a rush of happiness. "Hey, handsome. What are you doing here?"
He walked up to me, looking even better up close. "I came to surprise you. I've got snacks and hot chocolate, and I thought we could have a movie night with some amazing cuddles. What do you say?"
I couldn't help but laugh, a mix of surprise and excitement bubbling up. "That sounds amazing. Let me help you with those."
I reached for the bags he was carrying, but he shook his head with a grin. "No way, gorgeous. I've got it. Why don't you just unlock the door and get ready for an epic night?"
I rolled my eyes playfully but stepped aside to let him in. Once we were inside, I tried to help with unpacking the snacks, but Jack wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me back from the counter. He pressed a sweet kiss to my cheek, sending a shiver down my spine.
"Let me do this," he said softly. "Why don't you go change into something comfy? I want this night to be perfect for you."
I could hardly refuse his offer. "Alright, alright. I'll be quick."
I headed to my room, slipping into my favorite fuzzy pajama pants and a snug t-shirt that read "I Need Coffee in an IV." As I changed, my mind raced with thoughts of Jack. I couldn't stop thinking about how sweet and thoughtful he was—and how ridiculously attractive he looked. The way he's setting up the living room, the way he takes care of me, it made my heart flutter.
When I came back out, I was awestruck by the sight before me. The living room was transformed into a cozy haven. Jack had laid out blankets on the couch, arranged snacks on the coffee table, and lit a few candles, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. My heart melted at the sight of his effort.
I walked straight into his arms, hugging him tightly. "This is incredible, Jack. You really outdid yourself."
He held me close, his arms comforting and strong. After a moment, I looked up at him, my eyes filled with gratitude. Our lips met in a soft, lingering kiss that left me breathless.
Pulling away slightly, I noticed The Nightmare Before Christmas queued up on the TV. I let out a delighted squeal. "You know how much I love this movie! You're amazing."
Jack chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I figured you'd enjoy it. It's a great movie, after all."
As we settled onto the couch, Jack draped an arm around me, and I nestled against him, feeling perfectly content. Throughout the movie, he would occasionally brush his lips against my forehead or lean in to whisper something funny in my ear, making me laugh and blush.
At one point, during a particularly intense scene, Jack turned to me with a playful grin. "You know, I never realized how much more fun this movie is when you're here to share it with."
I playfully nudged him. "Are you trying to charm me with movie talk?"
"Maybe," he said with a wink. "But it's working, isn't it?"
I laughed, feeling a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. "Definitely working. You've made this night so special."
Jack's eyes softened as he looked at me. "I just wanted to make sure you know how much you mean to me. And it's not just about the movie. It's about spending time with you, making you smile."
As the movie continued, Jack held me close, and we shared quiet, sweet moments together. The night was perfect—simple, cozy, and filled with affection. By the time the credits rolled, I felt completely content, wrapped in Jack's arms and savoring every second of our time together.
When the movie ended, we stayed cuddled on the couch, enjoying the peaceful silence. Finally, Jack spoke up, his voice soft. "I'm really glad we did this."
I looked up at him, smiling. "Me too, Jack. It's been a perfect night."
He leaned in and kissed me softly, the warmth of his lips sending butterflies through me. "Let's make this a regular thing," he suggested, his voice filled with genuine affection.
I couldn't help but grin. "I'd like that a lot."
We stayed there for a while longer, just enjoying each other's company, the room filled with a sense of comfort and love. The night had been everything I'd hoped for and more.
