Anne and Marcy were princesses attending the Grand Ball of the season. They were best friends since they had only eachother. Marcy's Dad hated the idea of her dating anyone but a royal man.
Marcy's POV:
I was hanging around the food table, waiting for another man to quit dancing with Anne. We have been best friends since our first balls. Anne soon came back to me when the dance was done, snickering. "Mar-Mar! You have chocolate fudge on the side of your cheek!" Anne cupped my cheek and used her thumb to wipe off the chocolate. "Thanks Annabanana!"
We sat conversing for an hour before another dude came up to dance with me. I shook my head and politely declined his offer. While some princes and knights were talking, and just dancing or eating, Anne and I snuck out to my family's royal (and secret) rose garden. Together we sat on a bench, admiring the sunset as it got late. I leaned my head on her shoulder as the sun set perfectly to make a golden shimmer in the air.
We were just talking quietly when we heard footsteps. Anne turned around, making me shift my head to see. A woman stood in a red princely suit. She had long blonde hair tied into a ponytail and shimmering blue eyes like the majestic sea. She had snow white skin with a small birthmark under her eye. She had a sword belted to her waist. As she started approaching us, she kept her eyes on the roses and walked slowly. She must have noticed us when Anne giggled.
I bumped her shoulder as she gawked at the prince? Princess? Knight? Person. As she gawked at the person. The woman approached us and smiled charmingly, bowing. "Hello, sorry to intrude. I was just venturing your lovely castle." I looked at Anne and saw her smirking and nudging towards her, I turned back to the stranger, "I'm Marcy Regina Wu, thank you for the compliment." I could see the woman's face heating up.
"I'm Sasha Elizabeth Waybright. I am a princess, if you're confused." I nodded. "I am Anne Savisa Boonchuy, nice to meet you!" Anne stuck her hand out, making Sasha smile wider. They shook hands. We started talking more and got to know eachother better. The sky was filled with twinkling stars and shimmering with the Moon.
Just then, my father came out, "Stay away from Marcy!" Sasha nodded and the king went inside, Me and Anne looked at Sasha. "Please don't go! When will we see you again?" I pleaded. Anne groaned as her father called, making her go back inside.
"Sasha, take me somewhere we can be alone. I'll be waiting, all there is left to do is run! You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess!" Sasha looked deep into my brown eyes, moving my black hair out of my face. "Good bye, princess.~" She then left, leaving me in the garden alone.
After the ball ended and Anne bid me goodbye, I sat in my room. As I thought to myself alone, I heard something hit my window. I checked outside, opening my window to see Sasha. She had a few rocks in her arms. When she saw it was me, she dropped them and waved, she had the biggest smile plastered across her face. I quickly snuck out to see her.
We met back up in the secret rose garden, keeping quiet. "Heh, we'd be dead if they knew." I joked. We sat together on the bench from earlier and threw little pebble like rocks at the stone wall. My eyes lit up with the Moon light, only to open in shock when my father screamed. "STAY AWAY FROM MARCY!"
"Sasha, take me somewhere we can be alone. I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run. You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess! Sasha, save me, they're tryna tell me how to feel, this love is difficult, but it's real! Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess!" Sasha looked at me, kissing my cheek and running over the wall.
~~1 week later~~
I got tired of waiting, wondering if she'd ever come around. My faith in her was slowly fading. I was sitting on my bed, looking out my window and watching the birds fly. I got a letter from somebody, upon opening it, I saw it was from Sasha. Hmm? "Meet me at -----" Ohhh. I packed my things without a second thought. Rushing to the address, only to find it at the outskirts of town. Sasha was sitting on the ledge, watching the ocean. I sat next to her, we began chatting.
"Sasha, please save me, I've been feeling so alone. I keep waiting for you, but you never come around. Is this in my head, I don't know what to think!" Sasha knelt on the ground, pulled out a ring and said "Marry me, Marcy Wu! You'll never have to be alone, I love you and that's all I really know! I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress!~ It's a love story, baby just say yes!"
Screaming out of joy, I shouted yes. Sasha laughed, sliding the ring on my finger. Anne came out from behind and high fived me. "I HELPED!" She said with glee. I hugged her, and kissed Sash. As the sun went down, all three of us just hung out on the beach.
