"I had a dream so big and loud
I jumped so high I touched the clouds!"

My day began with English class, it wasn't too painful. I had to introduce myself and I could feel my face light up like a Christmas tree. No one really paid attention to my introduction, and I didn't mind. My teachers name is Mr. Frinkle, he seemed very welcoming and laid back, which showed through his carelessness of the class talking the entire period.

I sat next to someone named Brayden. At first I wasn't going to say anything to him, but he introduced himself... We talked for the entire period and he gave me the scope on everyone in the class. Who I need to avoid and who would be nice to me. At the end of the block we were assigned to read a chapter in some random book I've never heard of before, "To Kill A Mockingbird".

My following class was math. Math and I have a hate relationship. I still tried my best to understand all the new material. I was given a butt load of homework in that class.

Next I had science with a familiar face. I spotted him as soon as I walked in. He was talking to his friends and didn't seem to notice me and I was glad. Until the unspeakable happened, I had to get up introduce not only my name but one interesting fact about me...

I got up there and forgot everything about me. I was trying not to look in his direction, but it's like there are magnets in our faces and we had too.

"Hi...uhhhhh my name is Piano andddd ummm.. one-one int-interesting fact about me is... I don't know how to play the Piano."

A few people chuckled as I practically ran to my seat. I was shaking, my hands were sweating, my heart was beating so fast and I couldn't slow down my breathing... Man I felt like I just ran a marathon!

"Thank you, Ms. Spinks. very nice to have you here all the way from America, yes? Alright well everyone open there books to page..."

I felt a tap on my shoulder, and turned around. I looked at a very annoyed goth girl and received a note.
It said: "lay me down in a bed of your silence, it is the only place where this world makes any sense."
No signature? I looked around the room, no eyes were looking at me. How is that supposed to lead me to anything? Ok nevermind focus Piano, focus.

After all those classes, was finally lunch! I found Gemma quickly and sat down next to her. She introduced me to all of her friends and I listened to their conversations. I wasn't much of a talker anyways.

When lunch ended I asked Gemma if she could talk to me alone.

"So there's this boy" I started.

"Uhmm" she urged me to continue.

"he's really got me kind of star struck I guess. I ran into him in the hallway and I don't even know his name and I have science with him, hopefully another class too. I think he left me this note because it was passed to me during science, but I could just be imagining it." I handed her the note. she unraveled it very carefully.

"Hmm, this handwriting looks very familiar. He sounds like a philosopher." Gemma stated.

"What should I do Gem?"

"I think you should talk to him and actually figure out what to do before this" she pointed to my heart, "acts up and gets into your head and messes stuff up. Because we both know that's not fun! But it sounds like you've had a great day so far yeah?"

"Yes it's a very lovely school, I've enjoyed my teachers as well. Thanks for inviting me to sit with you! I really like your friends."

"Oh no problem babe, you can sit with us any time. Alright well cheerio off to class I go!" She waved and air kissed me.

The British are weird.

Off to gym I guess, my most dreadful class and I haven't even seen who my teacher was. I found my way over to my teacher, Mrs. G and then found my new found friend Brayden along the way.

"Hey! So you're ready for some good style football Spinks?"

"Oh me? No! Never! Brayden, you should know that I am the worst athletic person to be around. I suck at literally everything involving a ball. It's pretty bad, not going to lie."

"Well I'll have to teach you some time then, come on then we should go get changed."

He showed me my way to the lockers and I changed into the ridiculous outfit that the school provides. A white tank top that you could see my pink bra through (don't ask why it was pink) and what seemed like these little booty shorts. They were way too short for my liking. All the other girls seemed fine in them and they even rolled them up even more!

I met back up with Brayden even though I was so embarrassed at my new getup.

He looked me up and down before I awkwardly coughed,

"Oh sorry Piano, that's a-a good look for you! Fits your uhhh..."

I blushed and our conversation was interrupted with Mrs. G's whistle.
"Alright here's how this is going to go down... We are going to count off by 8's and you go to the exact team I tell you to okay?"

I was a 5 and Brayden a 6, but I was accompanied on the field by someone unexpected. The boy who I've had my eye on for quite a while now. I didn't even know he was here! Oh my god, oh my god can I go hide in the bathroom? I suck at soccer..uh I mean football.

This is going to be a disastrous first impression on this guy. I could feel my face go hot and my breathing shortening already, again not even doing anything. Calm the fuck down brain!

I was trying and trying to but I couldn't. The game already started and I haven't moved an inch, I should probably do that. Move! I told my legs, go! But they were glued right where they were before, smack dab in front of the goal. The next thing I know my face collided with a ball, soaring pain went through my head and I blacked out. Not hearing the concerns of my classmates or being comforted by anything but the dirt and grass underneath me.
