Jihoon looked at the protestants who are standing in front of the broadcast station building. Three days ago, he was asked to cover a news on a court case involving a shop owner who has accidentally injured a college student. It was not really a big case but it's a little controversial because while investigating the case, it was the college student who tried to make the shop owner angry. And according to the shop owner's confession, he has never thought to harm the college student.

The college student is a excellent student from a local college. His family is quite loaded as well. The case has been pushed to make the shop owner as the bad person and lead the court to give the punishment asked by the prosecutors who are representing the college student.

Jihoon was being told that it is the third trial and might be the last one since the attorneys seem to not have more evidence that they could present and anything to pleed the court to lower the sentece. Jihoon only covered the final court judgement as he's not the one who participated in the investigation as well.

Personally, Jihoon feel like the punishment given is too forced to punish the shop owner. But he couldn't do anything but just to report on the result of the court hearing. It was just an overall summary on what had happened. Jihoon didn't really expect that his report will get a lot of attention.

Apparently, there are cases where the younger one who couldn't get the justice on cases similar to the one he covered and it destroyed their future. After the news clip where Jihoon covered the case is out, there are several discussions on the internet regarding this and how younger people has always been in disadvantage if it's came to cases like this.

The shop owner saw the fusses on the internet and tried to took his own life in his cell. Luckily, the warden was around during that time and he got the medical attention fast. He's still alive but in a critical condition. The people who are doing the protest in from of the broadcast station building are the shop owner's family members. They blammed Jihoon for reporting the court case and getting the attention from the netizen.

"You're surely popular, Reporter Park," Jiae said. Jihoon didn't say anything but just stared at the protestants. "It's not your fault that he tried to kill himself. This world is cruel. That's all,"

"If I participated in the investigation, I might could help them," Jihoon said. "It's a little fishy all along,"

"They are just unlucky that they didn't have enough evidence. Even if you helped with the investigation and saved the shop owner, netizen probably will still discussing about it. It's just people waiting for what they can do after we have done our job. Whether you report for this side or that side, there will be people ready to give their criticism. We work closely to the law enforcement. The subject that the netizen enjoyed criticising the most. So, things will keep happening," Jiae said.

"True," Jihoon said.

"Like I said before, you need to freeze your heart. Don't let them sway you emotionally," Jiae said. "And remember. It's not your fault. If it is, I will be the first one who give a slap on your face,"

"Thanks," Jihoon said.

Jihoon looked back at the protestants. Will he be okay? It has been bothering him that the shop owner has tried to kill himself. And seeing his family members doing the protest in front of the building he's working at, blaming his work for being the reason the shop owner tried to end his own life, makes Jihoon feel restless.

Three days has passed since the first time they doing the protest. Even though they has been chased by the security and even police, they will always coming back. There are times Jihoon wanted to go to them and tell them it's not his intention to make the shop owner trying to kill himself.

But people around him keep telling that it's not his fault and he only doing his job. He shouldn't be worry about that. But those words are not enough to erase the guilt in him. Causing someone's death. It's something that he doesn't want to be ever accured again.

It's already the time for him to clock out. Jihoon walked out from the building. It has been three days since they did the protest. His colleagues will always make sure that the lane is clear when Jihoon going home. They said that they will always help if there's protestants like this because they won't know when it will be their unlucky day and have to experience the same.

Jihoon took out his phone as he walked out. It has been 2 weeks since Hyunsuk left for Japan. Last time, when he reported the cout case, Hyunsuk called him as soon as he saw the news to congratulate him.

But Hyunsuk didn't know about the follow up event. Hyunsuk is probably too busy to look up about it. Jihoon opened the web browser. The words related to the case that Jihoon reported are still at the top 10 most searched words and some of the articles regarding the case are still at the most engagement articles list. Jihoon sighed. That is his work. He should have know the possibility outcome of his work.

Jihoon is too tired to get himself dinner. He will just walk back home and sleep. Even though he didn't know if he could get a quality sleep or not because he has been thinking about this for days.

It would be nice if Hyunsuk already back. He didn't know how much he needed his hug until he was not around for a long period of time. Jihoon is grateful that Hyunsuk allowed him to get a hug whenever he had a bad time or tiring day. He really appreciate that Hyunsuk just listen to his story and just stay with him without asking anything when he cried.

Looking back at it, they haven't separated for too long ever since they started living together. Other than whe Jihoon serving in military. So, Jihoon didn't expect that he will feel like this. Maybe because he unexpectedly be in this condition, and because he's too sensitive.

He opened the door. The lights are already on. Did he forgot to turn it off before went to work? Jihoon walked inside.

"Eh?" Jihoon can see Hyunsuk standing there. At the kitchen. He might be hallucinating because he has been thinking about him earlier. But wait!

Jihoon quickly take out his phone and tried to call Hyunsuk. He heard Hyunsuk's phone's ringtone from the living room.

"Yah! It's really me," Hyunsuk giggled because Jihoon seems to not believed that he saw Hyunsuk.

"You didn't tell me,"

Hyunsuk walked toward Jihoon.

"I was planning to surprise you," Hyunsuk said. Suddenly tears trickled down Jihoon's cheeks, making Hyunsuk panic. "What?! Why are you crying? Are you hurting somewhere?"

"I'm too tired," Jihoon said while still crying. "And surprised that you're already back,"

"Aigoo. Come here," Hyunsuk hugged Jihoon. He didn't expect that Jihoon will cry. There's probably something happened at work. "Is there something happened at work?"

"I- they said my report almost killed a guy," Jihoon said while still sobbing in Hyunsuk's arms.

"Really? They said that? Is it the one you covered few days ago?" Hyunsuk asked.

"Yes. The report get the netizens attention and they started to discuss about it. And the shop owner who's in jail probably saw it and tried to kill himself because the netizen has been blaming him and calling him names. His family blamed the report I covered that make the shop owner deviced to do so," Jihoon said.

"Aigoo. You only did your job," Hyunsuk patted Jihoon's back. "Did they hurt you?"

Jihoon didn't answer the question but only shook his head.

"It's okay. It's not your fault. You did a good job. Okay? You have worked hard," Hyunsuk said.
