Lia's POV

__________________________

I was racing down the field at record speed, going for the ball. I looked down and someone's leg was purposely set right out in front of me.

I dived face first into the grass. The ref blew the whistle and I got up in a hurry... I don't like people seeing me defeated, it makes me feel weak...very weak. I took a quick glance into the people who were watching me play. I saw Samie, (my best friend) her boyfriend Joah, my friend Kaylee's boyfriend Noah, and his cousin...

I almost had a fangirl attack on the field...Noah's cousin Logan, he was my crush. Like I have had a crush on him since what, age eight?

Why was he here though?,. I guess Noah probably had him around when it was time to go to me and Kaylee's game. But him being here really helped my team in a way. he made me want to work harder, to do better. I looked at Samie who was holding Joah's hand as usual and she wiggled her eyebrows. I face palmed myself.

The ref blew the whistle and I guess now it's time to switch sides of the field. Now I play goalie, which is so much fun. I haven't gotten seriously injured before and I hope I don't ever get seriously injured. I bet I just jinxed myself.

Logan's POV

Noah dragged me to his girlfriend Kaylee's game today. She was nice and stuff but I didn't really want to be there.

As I was watching the game I noticed one person I hadn't seen in quite a while...Lia. We didn't go to the same schools, I lived in the next town and my family switched churches. We grew up together and we used to be really close. Not anymore though.

"Samie!" Joah kept poking me.

"Samie!" He whined like a little toddler.

"What?! I'm trying to focus on the game!" Lia's soccer game to be exact. I'm thinking my boyfriend really doesn't want to be here. God knows why!

"I want to go Sam." He pleaded.

"Why?"

"Because I want to spend time alone with you!"

"In 10 minutes." I said, focusing intently on Lia's game.

Sure enough in 10 minutes exactly Joah started bothering me again. Holy shots with waffles, I thought.

"It's been 10 minutes!"

I didn't respond.

"Come on Samie let's go!" Joah screamed and pleaded like a baby.

"Fine! Sheesh!"

"Yay!" He squealed.

"Ugh."

So we got up and went to his car and he drove me home...

Kaylee's POV

__________________________

Lia grabbed the ball and she had it clutched to her chest on the ground so that the other team wouldn't try to kick it out but, I guess they had other plans. I saw a girl going to kick it, she kicked too early and her foot shot up and into Lia's jaw!

I raced over there and she was on the ground crying. She wasn't making any noise but I saw the tears dripping down her face. And what really scared me is, how hard did that girl kick Lia? She was known for the strongest kick in our town! Well Lia has an equally strong kick but you get the point.
