Taehyung sat in his office, fingers drumming rhythmically on his desk as he stared at the screen. He had replayed the previous night in his mind a hundred times. The kiss, the way Jungkook had looked at him, the way their bodies had fit together so naturally—it had been perfect, and yet… it wasn’t enough. It would never be enough.

Jungkook is mine. No one else can have him.

That thought consumed him, a dark fire burning inside his chest. He could still feel the frustration from earlier that morning, the anger that had begun to simmer when he had seen Jungkook laughing with one of his business partners—Kim Seojin. Seojin, the man who had dared to flirt with Jungkook openly, right in front of him. He had touched Jungkook’s shoulder casually, made him laugh like he had no right to. Taehyung’s jaw clenched at the memory.

He touched what was mine. He crossed a line.

Taehyung had been careful, maintaining a professional demeanor all day, even as rage boiled just beneath the surface. Seojin’s audacity had triggered something primal in him. No one was allowed to get that close to Jungkook. No one.

His fingers hovered over his phone, a twisted smile forming on his lips as he considered the next step. This wasn’t the first time someone had crossed that invisible line, but Seojin would be the last.

Taehyung had made sure of that.

Later that evening, Jungkook was in his office at the company, still going over paperwork when his phone buzzed. He glanced down and saw a text from Taehyung:

Tae: Come home early tonight. I need to see you.

Jungkook smiled softly, feeling his heart warm. Ever since that night, Taehyung had been more open, more affectionate. It was as if a wall between them had broken down. Despite the lingering unease, Jungkook felt more connected to him than ever.

But before he could respond, there was a knock on his office door. He looked up to see Kim Seojin leaning casually against the doorframe, a charming smile on his face.

"Hey, Jungkook. Thought I'd drop by before heading out. You got plans tonight?" Seojin asked, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, feeling slightly uncomfortable but keeping it professional. "Uh, yeah. Just finishing up some work before heading home. You?"

Seojin shrugged, his eyes lingering on Jungkook a bit too long. "I was thinking of grabbing a drink. Maybe you could join me? It’d be nice to unwind after such a long day."

Jungkook chuckled awkwardly, glancing at his phone again. “Thanks, but I already have plans.”

“Plans, huh? With that bodyguard of yours?” Seojin’s tone was casual, but there was something about it that made Jungkook tense up.

“He’s not just a bodyguard,” Jungkook replied, his voice firm, though he didn’t elaborate.

Seojin stepped closer, his smile never faltering. “Hey, no offense. I just think a guy like you deserves better than a bodyguard to keep you company.”

Jungkook frowned, his discomfort growing. “Seojin, I think it’s best if we keep things professional.”

Seojin chuckled, holding up his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright. Didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”
