I sign deeply. There was a mix-up with my delivery and they sent me someone else's order. I had finally got it all straightened out. I looked at the time to see that it was 8:00pm. Crap. I thought to myself when I realized that I missed Elsie's event. The phone call with the delivery company took way longer than I thought it was going to. I send her a quick apology text before I hear Rosie start to cry. I quickly go over to the bassinet in my office and pick her up.

I look down at my phone when it lights up to see a message pop up.

Della: You owe Elsie big for missing her event. She kicked major ass!

Elsie: I really did!

I laugh to myself at their antics before texting them back.

Georgia: What do I need to do?

Della: That's the spirit. All you need to do is celebrate with us.

I roll my eyes.

Georgia: You know I can't. I don't have a sitter.

Elsie: Mom already said that she'll watch Rosie tonight.

Della: We are all good to party tonight!!

Georgia: Fine.

We end the conversation with the promise that I'll come home soon to get ready for our celebration. I glance around the office hoping that something will need my immediate attention so that I can get out of hanging out with them tonight. Celebrating requires drinking with my sister and best friend. Seeing nothing urgent I get Rosie in her carseat and head home.

When I get through the door Rosie's car seat is taken from me by my mother and my father gives me a hug before I am ushered upstairs. Elsie is holding one of my hands and Della holds the other as I am dragged to Elsie's room.

"Aren't I too old to get dragged around the house like this?" I question as I break free and sit on Elsie's bed.

"No such thing," Della says as she goes to the closet.

I see Elsie standing in her mirror checking out different outfits on hangers. I laugh because I know she is going to end up wearing what she is in now, even if it is all dirty. Della comes out wearing a pair of Elsie's nice bell bottoms, and olive green tie halter top.

"Here try this on," Della says, handing her a sundress she recognized.

"Why were you in my closet?"

"I wanted to see all my options," Della says, shrugging her shoulders.

I roll my eyes and put the light pink dress on. I see Della nod and try to figure out her hair situation in the conjoined bathroom's mirror.

"Della you should do a ponytail with some framing pieces," I tell her.

"Good idea," She says, grabbing an elastic. Della puts her hair up and she looks amazing, "I think I am going to wear my black platform booties."

"That'll look so cute with your outfit," Elsies says laying on the floor.

"Elsie, are you ever going to go out looking nice?" Della asks with a chuckle.

Elsie rolls onto her stomach and replies, "Probably not."

"Wait," I tell Della, "Why does she get to go looking like that and I have to dress up?"

"She earned it," Della states matter of factly.

I roll my eyes and let Della choose out some shoes and do my hair and makeup. By the time we are done my hair is in two braids that begin by my ears and I look like I am going to go on a picnic. Della says that I look perfect and we head downstairs to show my mother.
