"Do you have your phone with you?" Freen, who had been sitting in the taxi for ten minutes and was silent, suddenly spoke up.

Becca spread her arms, looking around at herself.

"I see" Freen turned back to the window. "We just left, and I didn't even warn Katie, although Mind, of course, will tell her, but still... I left all my things there and my phone. I'm drunk, from me..."

Freen took a deep breath, turning her gaze to Becca and her appearance.

Running into the reception area, Freen was almost shouting her stepfather's name from the threshold.

"Freen, Freen" Aranya waved as she stood at the coffee machine.

"Mom!" Freen ran up and hugged her, "what happened, is he alive?"

Aranya pulled her daughter away from her and looked at Becca, lowered her gaze to her legs and slowly began to move her eyes up, stopping at the short skirt.

"Mom!" Freen shook her.

Aranya looked up and stopped at the chest peeking out from the slit of her T-shirt.

Freen turned and looked where her mother was looking.

"Mom, damn it, what's wrong with Aroon!"

"This... your face..." Aranya examined the painted mask on the face of the slightly freaked out girl "I'm... familiar."

"Mom, can you talk about..."

"He's fine, his leg is broken. Freen... who is this?" Aranya raised an eyebrow and looked questioningly at her daughter.

"This is Becca. Leg? He broke his leg and you called and said he was dying?!"

"Me? Freen, what are you talking about? I just called Katie because I didn't get through to you and told her we were at the hospital. Becca you say?" Aranya narrowed her eyes "Becca. As in Becca Armstrong?"

"Hello" the brunette finally spoke and extended her hand to Aranya.

"Hello" the woman shook it hesitantly. "What about..." She glanced at Becca again.

"Don't ask, Mom" Freen waved her hand. "Which ward is he in? I want to see him."

Becca stood not far from the room, leaning her back against the wall. She had no idea what she was even doing here. Especially after it turned out that it was just a leg. How stupid she probably looks in Freen's eyes... And these hospitals, Becca hated hospitals. Why did she volunteer so quickly, it would be worth remembering that she is nobody to Freen. Not even a friend.

Becca flinched as Freen approached her from behind.

"You better leave" the blonde said in a dry and cold tone.
