Freen studied Becca closely as the brunette studied the menu. They chose a table in the chill-out area, where the music was not so loud, but slightly muffled, so they could calmly communicate in a low voice and hear their interlocutor well.
It wasn't the best idea, at least Katie wished they had sat right in the middle of the dance floor so they wouldn't be able to communicate with each other at all.
Freen looked at Becca's profile and thought, the girl's face suddenly seemed painfully familiar to her. She had definitely seen her somewhere before, but where?
"Freen, have you chosen?"
The blonde twitched.
"I'll have a beer, I need to be adequate tomorrow."
"Beer won't help" Becca whispered to herself.
"Sorry what?" Freen asked, although she heard perfectly well what the girl said.
"I said, no matter what you drink, beer won't help you be adequate" Becca raised her head and smiled widely.
"Sorry, but you don't know me at all to judge my adequacy!" Freen was indignant.
"You're right" Becca nodded "we shouldn't have made hasty conclusions, but this has nothing to do with you."
"Sorry, but" Freen put the menu aside, "would you mind sharing?"
"Adequacy? No."
"Of course not, there has to be something to share" Freen snapped.
"So it's beer" Katie sighed, "so where's the waiter? He should have arrived about ten minutes ago, now I'll go get him myself, I'm thirsty."
"The service here is always slow, there are too many customers and you they should have time to serve everyone" Becca reassured her.
"The service industry protects the service industry" Freen couldn't resist.
"Okay! You both got me annoyed" Katie stood up "I'm going to get the waiter. Mind, keep an eye on them."
"No way" the girl grinned "I like it, let them continue."
Freen sat up and looked out the window behind her. Since their chillout was on the second floor, Freen had a great view of the dance floor. The girl looked at the people who were dancing below and wondered how much beer she would need to drink in order to go downstairs and dance. She didn't really trust the local contingent, or rather, she didn't trust it at all. It's unknown what will happen if someone approached behind her, but it's worth the risk.
Freen visited only two verified clubs for two reasons: firstly, she was not there entirely legally due to her age, and secondly, the establishment had a specially designated VIP area that could be rented by a large group.
Of course, she did what she wanted, from visiting a club under the influence of drugs with a fake license to causing and instigating fights. It seemed to the girl that it was too long ago and not with her at all.
She was lying when she told Katie that she did not want to go to such establishments because of her arrogant attitude towards the local contingent. No, Freen was simply afraid that she would be transported back in time, namely to the time when she believed that she could do absolutely anything that came into her head, using the rule "I have money and a mother who will help and not judge." "
Now she looked down at all these people and wanted, she wanted to go there. This dance floor was completely packed, not like their VIP corner...
Memories immediately flashed of how she, in a drunken stupor, with a bottle of whiskey in her hands and with her eyes closed, stood in the middle of the hall and danced as if there was no one else but her. When she closes her eyes, it doesn't matter how many people are around, what club she's in or how crowded it is. But for some reason she liked being in a crowd more, when you could feel the heat emanating from the people next to her, when someone was jostling, dancing next to you simply because there was no room for personal space. They will snuggle and move with you to the beat of the music...
