The team stood in disbelief, staring at the blank wall where the door to their escape should have been. Chandini, regaining some composure, asked, "Where did the door go? How can it just disappear?" Harish, still shaken from his encounter in the basement, added, "This house is definitely playing tricks on us."
Rajesh, trying to stay calm, looked around for another possible exit. "We need to find another way out," he said, his voice steady despite the mounting tension. "Let's stick together and stay alert."
As they moved through the house, searching for another exit, they encountered more unsettling sights: walls that seemed to shift and stretch, rooms that appeared and disappeared, and whispers that echoed through the hallways. Each member of the team struggled to maintain their composure, the sense of dread growing with every step.
With each step, they ventured deeper into the maw of fear, their patience slipping away. Out of sheer terror, they frantically searched for an exit. In their haste, they even attempted to break through the windows, but all they encountered was thick layers of dust.
In their frantic search for an exit, the team grew more desperate. The oppressive atmosphere of the house pressed down on them, amplifying their fear and anxiety. Rajesh tried to keep everyone focused, but the mounting dread was palpable.
But fear had completely consumed them, leaving no room for hope. Harish began to shed tears, his voice trembling, "It's over. We'll never get out of this house. We're doomed."
Rajesh, witnessing Harish's despair, took a deep breath and tried to rally their spirits. "No, Harish. We can't give up. There's always a way out. We need to stay strong and think clearly."
Chandini, though still frightened herself, moved closer to Harish and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "We've faced dangerous situations before. We just need to keep our heads and work together."
Paramsivam, trying to inject some hope, spoke up, "Rajesh Sir is right. We can't let this house break us. Let's go back to the living room and look for clues. There has to be something we're missing."
The team, though still overwhelmed by fear, steeled themselves and made their way back to the living room. That moment, they hear noise from the kitchen. The sound, widen everyone eye lids.
With no hope and fear gripping their minds, they cautiously approached the kitchen and peered from a safe distance. Their eyes were immediately drawn to the horrifying scene unfolding before them.
The kitchen was drenched in blood stains, with corpses sprawled across the floor. The air was thick with the sickening scent of death. They observed in horror as the demon, the same one that had pursued Harish in the basement, feasted on the flesh of the dead bodies.
The sight shook them to their core. Harish's voice quivered as he whispered, "Sir, it's the same demon that chased me." Paramasivam added grimly, "And those dead bodies... they belong to the missing painter we came here to find."
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Chandini spoke up, her voice trembling, "Sir, let's get out of here." Rajesh nodded in agreement, and they began to retreat from the kitchen, each step carefully calculated to avoid making any noise.
Each of them moved cautiously, aware that every step could mean life or death. In that tense moment, Paramsivam's boot accidentally made a silent creak, echoing through the kitchen and freezing everyone in place. The demon's head snapped up, its eyes gleaming with malevolent intent. A guttural growl escaped its throat, sending shivers down their spines.
"Run!" Rajesh shouted urgently, urging his team forward. They dashed out of the kitchen, the demon's menacing pursuit echoing behind them. Harish led the way, sprinting ahead without knowing their destination until he spotted a staircase.
